1. Like the look of that and the first one you built. Looking forward to seeing this progress. Don't know about the neck question but sure someone who does will be along soon.
2. Not got much experience with flats but have just strung my P bass up with a set of D'Addario Chromes. Very pleased, plenty of oomph and to my ears a decent level of brightness.
3. A pleasure to deal with, no hassle, no problems. Recommended.
4. Maybe agree to do it but more like the original Northern Soul style, far more manly
5. Well done Mark. Good luck with the loaners
6. Don't think I could ever be tempted back to Minehead Butlins again, even with that line up. Does sound good though
7. Yowza, He was a chap who could lay down a serious groove.
8. [sub]Thanks enjoyed that. might have to go and listen to the whole album tonight[/sub]
9. What about strings? Can make a huge difference to the sound and feel and might be a most cost effective upgrade
10. Hope you get over this and get your gear back.
11. That is light for for a VMJ, you wont have any problem shifting this one. I had to stop playing my VMJ because of shoulder/neck problems. Then I discovered that I could gig my deluxe p bass, which is heavier without the pain. So guess it must have been something to do with the way the Jazz hangs and the off set shape. Might get another Jazz one day for those sitting down gigs
12.
thx gary mac
No problem. Howard made me a single ply black p/g for my G&L.
13. Nice looking bass Giamma. Maybe I shouldn't interfere but here goes, given the vintage nature and price, you will probably get a lot more interest with a bit more detail and more pics. Good luck though
14. The Bass Doc is yer man.
15. Happened here a couple of years back. The falling bass missed my wife by a gnats and ended up on the floor. She got all narky cos I comforted the bass before her. Strange things women. Fortunately, no damage to either model
16. "Clarky" Hell, I've been playing all these years and didn't realise that one could play up that end of the neck.
17.
John Bercow? No, he's a twat.
18. Can't believe these are still here bump. I thought there was a lot of love for these strings on Bass Chat, so maybe I've priced them wrong £20 inc post O.N.O.
19. Loads of M80 love here Lozz but I already have one. Have a bump
20. The bass playing on most of the Wailers stuff. It sounds so simple and it kind of is but the feel and the space just really do it for me.
