1.
Slightly off topic but I've always thought that lemmy managing to get thrown out of hawkwind for a drug habit is like getting thrown out of the church for having too much faith , an unbelievable achievement
I met Stacia at the Sundown in Edmonton in 73. Although I had lusted after her for some time, all I managed was a mumble, an embaressed bit of shoe shuffling and a pathetic attempt to look her in the eye and not the chest. I'd like to blame the acid, but that turned out to be a very expensive piece of sliced uncooked spaghetti I've still got the Hawkwind "Have a good time" badge from that gig. Saw Humble Pie a few weeks later at the same venue, much more my cup of tea.
2. Good choice. I love most of that album and there is some very pleasing bass playing on it. Sorry can't sit and work it out at the moment as I still need to nail a few songs for tomorrow nights gig. If no one has come to your aid by the end of the weekend I'll try to help you.
3. That looks great and what good use of your grandparents chairs.
4. Time for a bump

6.
I learned on one of these and yours looks like a lovely example! I always found the stock pups to be a little 'polite' so the Wizards should have improved things no end. Good luck with the sale and all good wished to your daughter. LC
Thank you. All the best
7. I seem to recall that as well. Anyway welcome back but why did you go and exhile yourself?
8. Good man, thanks MB1
9.
Yours was the one with the EMG on it wasn't it Garry? I was considering yours before I came across this beauty on ebay. It's tough letting go of some basses innit, they're like ex girlfriends; but sometimes you're glad to see the back of them! :-)
Yep you are quite right on all counts.

16. ORANGE 50 BXT BASS COMBO Offered for sale my daughter’s very orange little combo. A great little 50 watt amp, that is compact and boasts a useful power rating. This is a decent little versatile combo with a 12” Orange speaker. An additional speaker can be added if required. Finished in orange vinyl covering, with black piping, carry handle, corner protectors and rubber feet. The control panel consists of the following: Controls for: mid, high, low, gain, volume. Single input for passive or active instruments. Built in tuner, with on/off switch. Headphone socket. Extension speaker socket. Line out. Aux in, for I-pod, mp3 etc. Power on/off light. The power on/off switch is on the rear panel. This has been looked after and is in very good condition, although not absolutely perfect. There are some small scuffs in the vinyl covering, which can be seen in the photos. All controls function as they should and are crackle free. Dimensions are approx. 48cm (H) x 43cm (W) x 28cm (D). Weight approx. 16 kilos. Contact me if you wish to view . We are in Hertfordshire If you require this to be posted, we can arrange for shipping, but please note that this will be at additional cost over and above the price quoted. My daughter is having some health problems at the moment and not able to work, hence this sale. She is therefore not interested in trades at this time. She is a Bass Chat member but I offered to do the photos, put up the ads and deal with the sales as she just isn’t up to doing it herself at present. Offered for sale at £115.00. Cash sale preferred, but can accept Pay Pal or Bank transfer.

18.
Hi Gary, Sorry to hear of your Daughters poor health, hope its nothing serious. Where abouts are you?
Have pm'd you sir.
19.
i think to expensive you can find them at ebay for $200... fred
It's generally considered bad form on here to post comments like this. Seeing that you have though, I would like to say that, a lot of items can be found cheaper on ebay. Also the U.S. market is different to ours, I'm assuming you are talking of the U.S. market given that you quoted dollars. If this bass was not modded I would have set the price at £180.00, which is a very fair price given the condition. The pups and straplocks cost my daughter £90.00 so we have added what we considered a reasonable £60.00. Perhaps any further comments about pricing could be via pm thanks.
20. Good man. There are a few bass chatters sort of localish (Lozz196 and the brig spring to mind), maybe we could meet up in old stevenage, have a look in Coda and then coffee or beer.
21. SQUIER VINTAGE MODIFIED JAZZ This is my daughter’s Squier bass. Plenty of bass chatters are probably aware of how impressive these Indonesian built instruments are, this one is a very good example and is in excellent condition. Nicely modded with Wizard 84 pick-ups, cavity screening and Schaller strap locks. Hopefully the photos will clearly show the lovely grain and wood colour, and the almost blemish free body, neck and head stock. No wear to any of the twenty frets or the maple fretboard. All controls function properly and are crackle free. Truss rod works perfectly and is set to the correct tolerance. Given the excellent condition and the mods, the asking price is £240.00 Happy for Bass Chatters to visit for a viewing/test drive. There is no case with this bass so collection would be preferred. If you do require the bass to be posted, we can arrange for shipping, but please note that this will be at additional cost over and above the price quoted. My daughter is having some health problems at the moment and not able to work, hence the sale of this and some other instruments. She is therefore not interested in trades at this time. She is a Bass Chat member but I offered to do the photos, put up the ads and deal with the sales as she just isn’t up to doing it herself at present. Cash sale preferred, but can accept Pay Pal or Bank transfer.
22. John, if you are taking a trip up to Terry in Stevenage, let me know if you want to meet up for a coffee and chat.
23. Bumping it up again.
24. Glad it went well and that you got through it ok. Good man
