1. Received thanks. Will pass it on to Acidbass when I'm done.
2. That looks like a serious bit of kit Wayne. No lightweight wimpy gear for you
3. I have always removed the pickguard on mine. Some prefer to just loosen the neck screws enough to tilt the neck slightly.
4. Chuffed for you, well done. Not my neck of the woods so won't be dropping in just yet.
5.
Posted to Gary Mac today.
Good man, thanks.
6. I'm not even going to look. No further GAS will be tolerated in this household, I've been warned.
7.
Can I be the first to complain about BGM. my July edition has just arrived, 13 days early.........!
Same here, totally outrageous. And featuring our very own Burritobass.
8. I remember going to see Humble Pie back in the seventies when this was in their set. They were a class live act, never quite the same on record but just great to see live. Don't know the version you are talking about but will check it out.
9. Nice job Tom, looks great. Headstock turned out well with the decal and lacquering.
10. Nice job it looks good. What's the next project then?
11. I would do it. Not as a money maker but just for the pleasure of improving an already decent instrument. I've just completed a Squier P bass upgrade and really enjoyed doing it. To me it was absolutely worth doing and has made what was a playable but dull instrument in to something very pleasing to play and a pleasure to look at.
12.
That's handy. You join Basschat earlier this year (presumably sans bass) then some weeks later a stranger "down the dump" hands you a perfectly good bass for nothing. Happens all the time.
13. Wow. That is one very impressive bit of modding.
14.
This book is with me now. Gary mac - PM me your address and I'll pass it on when I've finished with it.
PM'd. Sorry for the delay in doing so
15. He's selling another one as well, been watching them both. Like you say it does look very nice
16. Feel like I'm in shock... Chris with a Ric...I'm going to have to make myself a cuppa have a lie down and breath in to a paper bag.
17. Have to agree with Jack and infact that's the route I'm planning on at the moment, once I've got clearance from the good wife. But if you are talking about the American Standard in Coda then I understand your enthusiasm. The one I tried in there a while back was a beaut and had me all gassed up.
18. I went with an ebony one on my 58 bitsa, decent bit of kit and a good service
19. I've not tried low riders but I'm a recent convert to High Beams and won't be changing brands anytime soon. Will be interested to hear what you think of the Low Riders
20. Good job so far David, looking forward to the next installment.
