1. Sorry, ignore my last post. I've just got up to speed on the developments.
2. That doesn't sound too good wayne, hope you haven't been done over mate
3. I fitted a Badass 2 to my my Squier Jazz and a set of Wizard pickups. Both upgrades were well worth the money. The bridge was a direct replacement, no routing and all existing screw holes lined up. I don't know if that can be said for the Gotoh, but I'm sure someone else will be along to tell you. The pickup wasn't so easy, but that was down to my lack of experience with a soldering iron. Once I had practised a bit and got some advice on this forum, all was fine. Andy at Wizard is very helpful and patient. They have a website, but I don't know how to the do the link thing, sorry. Gary
4. Pm to matty
5. bump it up
6. Agreed, a lot of yamaha instruments are very good, but often under rated. Discontinued now and set to become collectible I'm told.
7. I have decided too move this one on, as I'm just not using it. I purchased it two years back for a project that never actually got off the ground. I believe that the previous owner used it for recording purposes only. I haven't gigged it or even taken it out for a rehearsal. It is in absolutely perfect unblemished condition, no buckle rash or dings anywhere and resides in a luxury hardcase, which is also in first class condition. The body is alder finished with a maple veneer. Maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. No wear or damage to frets. Humbucker and Piezo pick ups. Three band active eq. Low battery indicator. Easily accessed flip up battery cover. Expecting a bit of a one trick pony with this bass, I was pleasantly surprised and very pleased at the variety of sounds available. With the eq and pick up combination it's very versatile. Given the condition of this instrument and the excellent case, I am asking £320.00. NEW PRICE £275 I'm happy for anyone interested to come around for a coffee and test drive. Would prefer collection, but willing to post at purchasers expense. Pm me for any further info.
8. I have aYamaha bex that I'm thinking of sellling. I got it two years ago for a project that never actually got off the ground. It's not getting played and is surplus to requirements. I've not gigged it or even taken it to rehearsals. I think the previous owner used it for recording. It is totally immaculate, not a mark on it and lives in a quality Yamaha hard case. Pm me if its of interest to you. All the best Gary.

10. If you have an electricity supply in the shed, then I would advise the use of a dehumidifier.
11. Thanks chaps. Maybe I'll go with the foil option then.
12. It's about time that I got around to shielding all the cavities on mine and my daughters VMJ basses. Can anyone recommend a product and supplier. I'm thinking of a brush applied product, rather than foil. Thanks in advance. Gary.
13. Well it's certainly a looker, but sorry don't know anything about that model. I'm guessing it's active? Like you I have P Bass Deluxe, so I suppose if I wanted just one additional alternative it probably wouldn't be another active bass. Ideally for me the alternative would be a decent Jazz, passive of course.
14. A pleasure to deal with. one of the good guys.
15. Just awful, so sorry. A mate of mine died yesterday. So a day of contemplation.
16. The last band I was with had very loud guitarists, keyboards and powerful drummer. I had to eq my amp very differently to my more normal settings. Mids are your friends .....
17. I think he is still with them. The late Gary Thain provided the bass on Easy Livin'
18. Very nice Wayne. What's the plan for this one then?
19.
Did several gigs before Christmas with a band who played Easy Livin'. Funnily enough, their whole set consisted of UH songs. They sounded pretty authentic to me. There was some geezer called Mick Box playing guitar.
So what are the Heep like these days then Steve? I did love that band back in the day and only just started listening again over the last few days.
20. Any of you older heads ever played Easy Livin', by Uriah Heep? I've always loved the track, but never had the opportunity to play it. At a band rehearsal the other night I suggested it, thinking that I would probably get mocked and ridiculed. Anyway they all loved it and we had a bash. I've almost got it, but there are some pretty speedy licks in there. Glad it's only a short one at two and a half minutes.
21. Just go for it and dig in, it will look so cool with blood dripping down the bass and you will be a hero! Jesting aside, I don't know, would using a pick be an option. Best of luck with it though. All the best Gary
22. Good man, chuffed for you.
23. Very nice. Let us know how it fared at rehearsal
24. Good luck, hope you get the gig. I'm involved in a new band project and last night we played a few Free numbers. Decided not to go for the obvious ones. One we tried was Travellin' in Style. It sounded brilliant, so simple, but so enjoyable.
