1. Shall I close the thread then, so that nobody else gets a look in
2. I play fretless a lot at home but have yet to do so in public. Unless I join a different band that's not likely to change I'm still a relative newbie to fretless, I'm using an unlined f/b and really trying to get a feel for playing without looking at finger placement. It's beginning to pay off, intonation is improving and I'm enjoying it very much.
3. If it's still available could I have it? It's not to go on a project but to use as a template. Cheers, let me know what the postage is. All the best
4. This is why our band don't get involved with these sort of events, not saying we don't do our bit for charity, we do but just not the sort where the real winner is the Landlord.

6. I currently use a GK Fusion 500 with my SC, I'm very happy and GAS free.
7. Etienne was a pleasure to deal with. Great comms, paid when he said he would and no messing about. I'm very happy to recommend him as an all round top chap, one of the good guys.
8. Truly lovely Andy, amazing work as always.
9.
Thanks - I thought I was going a bit mad at first. Once I had the bridge off I thought "Aha, that's the culprit" Was glad it was an easy fix! Didn't want to face the prospect of getting a soldering iron anywhere near an untouched 64!
Yes, that is unnerving. Had to do some work on a sixties pick guard a while back, I was certainly sweating.
10. Yes, I've encountered that at least it's a nice simple fix. Well done
11. What a good looking rig. Bet the 64 sounds mighty fine through that.
12. Ive worked on a couple of their P basses, once set up properly they played very well. For a budget instrument frets were good and all the hardware worked. The wiring and pots would be my first upgrade.
13.
Just seen this Gary. What a beauty. I won't need the Viagra tonight.
you probably won't mate, if you are looking at guitar porn at 2.14 am
14.
Personally i didnt like my BB2 much. Lovely cab, just didnt produce the tone i wanted. This was with a MB F1 head and also a GK MB800. I could quite easily have lived with it had i no other options, as it did a great job as far as volume goes and was so light, but it just felt very low end heavy to my ears.
I was lucky enough to buy Dave's cab and I liked it more than Dave did right from the off. I have to say though, that I like it even more now as it just seems to be sounding better each time I gig it. Not just my opinion either, it has been mentioned by band mates and other bass players in the audience.

You will find that it gets even better. My BF cabs have certainly done so, the sound at this weekend's gig was just so good. The most happy I've been with my sound in all these years of gigging.
16. Morning Phil and welcome. Well done on an an interesting and detailed introduction. Will look forward to seeing some pics. You're best off hosting your pics on Flickr or photobucket etc and then copying and pasting on to here. Enjoy the forum and maybe we will catch up one of these days at a gig (I'm in Herts).
17. I've had a few different Yamaha basses and guitars but not an Attitude. Maybe I ought to give one a try. Very nice by the way
18. Haven't gigged since New Years Eve but then I really enjoyed River Deep, Mountain High, the Four Tops and Supremes version. First gig of the year tonight, so will report back if there is a new fave
19. ...and just to feed your GAS, here's my fretless
20. You need a P, don't fight it. I've already played mine today
21. Presumably you've checked all the solder joints? I had an intermittent problem on one of my vintage Fenders, I thought it was a pup problem but turned out to be a solder joint, that looked sound but actually wasn't. It took a very close inspection with a magnifier to spot it.
