Hoddesdon, virtually next door to Hertford has a very lively scene, at least five pubs with bands every weekend. -
I'm a fan of the NYXLs, well worth the cost, the set on my gigging bass have been on there for over a year and still sound fresh. I've recommended them to a number of my bass playing customers, who all seem to love them.

I regularly get to work on Yamaha instruments and don't think I've yet encountered a bad one. Even the budget models, once set up properly are a pleasure to play.

I've got the hair these days and I can even walk and move about, but don't think that constitutes exciting.
