1. My current set up Not one of my better photos but you get the idea
 2. I've played some loud gigs over the years, with very loud guitarists an drummers, using a variety of amps. As yet I've never had any of those amps anywhere near the maximum volume settings. No one would say that I'm a quiet, in the back ground sort of player. Just can't imagine how horrible your band set up must sound. Think I would have long ago walked.
 3.
and I didn't even phone UPS.....
Good man.
 4.
Daily Mail?
No, a card from my wife, she gave it to me on the day I was awaiting delivery of a Barefaced cab. How I chuckled and then the cab arrived damaged
 5. Now sold and heading off across the channel to a very decent chap.
 6. I've just had a wow moment That looks to be a classy product. Might have to put one of these on my Christmas list. Bugger, I said the C word and it's only August. Top quality review and pics as well.
 7.
Lovely bass that
A thank you and a bump
 8.
What did you switch to Gary?
I went with Barefaced, although not 2 10's. I've got a Big Baby and a Super Compact. As yet I've not gigged the Compact but the BB has been impressive.
 9.
Markbass Traveller 102P cabs come up second hand for £250ish each. The sound great and are the lightest 210 on the market, well worth considering
I loved my MB 2 x 10's and would still be using them, had I not needed to go even lighter in weight.
 10. I Found that my Dingwall sounded really special with a little contour dialled in but my vintage Fenders sounded better with the contour off.
 11.
My 2015 Am Std Jazz what I got for nowt.
For nowt really? looks lovely.
 12.
er, yes
We are old mates, would jam and go to gigs back in the 70's. Don't see each other these days other than on FB. A very fine chap.
 13.
I have a funny story about Wishbone Ash. Basically I first saw them in about 1987/8 when they toured the original line up. They had another guitarist helping, because Ted Turner hadn't learnt all the set yet. My then G/F chatted up the said guitarist and went home with him. They got married. I met him years later and told him this. It's all very funny and a long time ago. He was at last nights gig!! It's always lovely to see himself
Are you talking about Jamie?
 14. I purchased a Mono Bass Sleeve from Bass Gear a few months back. The level of protection is impressive, along with the design, build quality and price.
 15.
I'm not sure I'd want to 'downsize' to a heavier cab without wheels, rather than not turn the volume knob as high!
16. I've had mostly good dealings with them. I tend to either buy on one of their regular sale days or look out for auctions, rather than BIN.
 17. Good for you, hope it goes well. Will you be using my old P bass?
 18.
Just picked up my BF Two10 & Four10 stack. Can`t wait to give the Four10 a try on Tues (the whole stack may be a bit over-powering for a 15x15 rehearsal room).
Hertfordshire will be declared a disaster zone if you unleash that lot Lozz
 19.
Buy one of our One10 cabs and use it for a month - if it doesn't do what you need we'll have it collected and give you a full refund waiving the usual return postage cost. If my recommendation is wrong it won't cost you anything!
Can't say fairer than that. I would most certainly be taking Alex up on that offer.
 20. I love the sound and feel of flats on a P bass. For me though, they don't work with the band that I currently play with and I find that zingy rounds are a much better fit. My fretless which only gets played at home, is wearing a set of status half wounds, as recommended by discreet. I am very impressed, not only with discreet but also the strings . Super comfortable to play, with a warm, bright non muddy sound.
 21.
Really nice amp heads... Has anyone reading this tried out any of the Handbox cabs or combos yet?
I not aware of anyone with a cab or combo over here.
 22.
If you like the GK tone, I`d stay in house and look at the MB Fusion amps. They do the classic GK sound, but due to the pre-amp valves can really warm up and become darker as per your needs for the new band. Plus they`re very light/portable so really fit all requirements.
Have to agree with Lozz and it's what I use.
