1.
Do you guys actually go to bed?
That's their business Jack and none of yours
2. U
I thought this was a bass guitar forum so if the populace can't have a moan about a 20% price hike of many people's favourite equipment caused by a currency crash related to a highly political event - then I'm not sure the point of such a forum!! Next thing we won't be able to talk about Fender's QC.......
Of course the price hike can be moaned about and it has been. We know the political situation has been a major factor and that has been discussed.
3. We don't want or need another Brexit thread, so to avoid this one being closed down, please get it back on track.
4. Can see why you're happy.
5. Markbass Traveler 121H 8ohm cab. Italian built. Rear ported. Comes with a very nice Roqsolid cover. Still in very good, almost as new condition. Slight scuffing to the corner protectors. The carpeted protective covering still looks great, with no damage or rips. Front grill and logo are clean and undamaged. I have played pub gigs with just this one little cab, it’s loud and efficient. I’ve also teamed it with a Mark Bass 2x10 and on another occasion my Barefaced Big Baby, it worked very well with both. Although Markbass are probably my favourite cabs, I’m selling because due to health problems and general decreptiness, I need to go for even lighter weight kit. Specification as follows: Impedance 8 ohms Speaker size 1x12 in. Tweeter 1" compression driver with custom horn Power handling 400W RMS (AES Standard) Crossover frequency 3.5 kHz Frequency response 40 Hz to 20 kHz Sensitivity 99 dB SPL Weight 33.07 lbs / 15 Kg Width 23.23 in. / 59 cm Height 15.08 in. / 38.3 cm Depth 17.13 in. / 43.5 cm Price is £275 collected from my place in Herts. Collection much preferred but if this is not possible, please advise and I will get a price for insured delivery with a courier of my choice. Bank Transfer or cash on collection, thanks.
6.
This is being delivered to me today.
Wow, that is a good looking bass. Love the grain
7. Welcome, great to hear that your lad is enjoying himself. Plenty of enthusiastic, knowledgeable players on here. I'm sure you will get some very good advice.
8. We're still waiting
9. Thread reopened
10. A great job there, very well done.
11. Body looks pretty authentic Rich, I particularly like the bottom edge, looks just like one of the old J basses that I had. will look forward to seeing your progress.
12. If you don't like the songs now, there is a good chance that down the line a bit, you will be seriously fed up with them and wanting to leave anyway. The other one sounds much more promising.
13. Glad I'm out gigging tonight and not hanging around to keep an eye on this thread. Will leave that to Bilbo, he loves a bit of Moondance
14.
Gi ower lad, tens neetweer
15.
Many thanks gents, the help is very much appreciated. I guess I'll be fine as long as I wear rubber gumboots . Thanks again, Karl.
s You Northern chaps have some strange stage wear.
16.
No, I feel morally obliged to advise the OP on his errors.
I feel morally obliged to leave you to it then
17.
WOW you dont half have some stonking gear Gary
Thanks Paul.
Stop harassing me mr Mac! GAS.........
You've harassed me before now, so it's my turn
18. Welcome, good to have you here.
19. It is amazing how the page count racks up on some threads, this one being a classic example. I'm not moderating as such, so this isn't an instruction but more of a suggestion: The OP has plenty of good info here to refer back to if he chooses to do so. For all you patient souls who have tried and are very obviously becoming frustrated, perhaps it's time to give it up.
20.
Fair enough, i forgot that Alex had posted that. All makes sense although i still think its a bit over the top. Not a reflection on BF, just that this Tim bloke seems a bit of a gear tart to me. Is he trying to compete with the much slagged off Adam Clayton to see how many basses he can use on one gig without anyone noticing the difference :-)
Dave should you be accusing other players of being a gear tart?
21. Good work Bob, thanks
