1.
Ive been looking for a 2013 made bass to celebrate the birth of my son Rufus. After much head scratching on what to do I fell upon this by accident. It was made 5 weeks before Rufus was born and I fell for it as soon as I saw it. Ive had Jazz type basses for years and ultimately have been dissatisfied with the sound. I couldn't put my finger on it , I was just doubting my sound. Last week I sold my very good Maruszczyk Jazz type bass and added some cash tucked away for the ' Rufus bass '. Well it arrived yesterday and I cant put it down..... I really cant put into words the quality of the sound so Im posting a few pics instead. Ive strung it with Chrome 40 - 100 strings and taken off the bridge cover..... its perfect.
Like Lozz said, that is a beauty and somehow looks older than its years
2. The only double album that I still listen to regularly is not allowed on this thread, as it is a live one. But it's too good to be worried about the rules, so: Humble Pie, Rockin' the Filmore
3. John excels once again. I ordered a kit at about 1 p.m. and it was with me the next morning. Top quality product as well, of course.
4.
Stadium Arcadium. Barely enough decent tracks to fill an EP. Edit. Really struggling to think of a double album that's solid gold all the way through, especially as the rules disqualify live albums.
I've received mucho stick when I've said the same thing about this album. It has made me happy that I'm not alone

6. I would also recommend the Rumble for what you need
7. We get them removed as soon as soon as possible, if they are wanted/selling type updates Jack.
8. My tip would be to answer your pm's and/or respond to replies in your advert. If you had replied to my pm or responded to my reply up above, you would have probably had your yes by now.
9.
Gary, you said it! You know it's true! ;-)
Yes, I will start the search.
10. Never tried flats on my old Wal and now it's too late. I think I need another Wal in my life Trevor.
11. I've been using this stuff for the last year or so, on all of my basses http://www.ducksdeluxe.com/ddaxwax.html Not cheap but it does all surfaces and the strings.
12. let me or one of the mod team know which post and we can help.
13. I was very nearly bidding against you then but got distracted with family stuff and I forgot to go back for the last minute bid.
14. Sounds like a miserable experience I had spotted this one on Ebay. Prices vary, I would pay that sort of money for a good example. For me, that would have to be all original, everything functioning as it should and with the original case, also in good condition. Put it down to experience and keep on looking, there are some lovely early 70's ones out there. Hope you find the one.
15.
Oh no, please buy it now as I find myself all of a sudden in a fever-and-tremors-inducing GAS attack!
I can't help, I'm all spent out.
16. If the look of this bass appealed and given that this is local to me, I would have already gone to have a look. I love G&L's my main gigging basses are 1980's G&L's. This one doesn't do it for me but if you like the colour and you like Precision basses, I'm sure that you wouldn't be disappointed. It's not a bargain price but I think it's a fair price and I would be reasonably happy to pay around that sort of figure for one.
17. He is a regular sell of basses and always waxes very lyrical in his ads. I've been tempted by one or two of his instruments.
18. Really enjoy playing this one with the band and it has been a real crowd pleaser
19.
The idea is fine so long as nothing goes wrong... Who ends up responsible if the courier looses or breaks it? What happens if the bass turns up and it's not as described? seller blames shipper etc... could get very messy.
Was just about to post the same. I still like the idea though
20. Last time I did it, I'm sure it added approx 25% to the total, so that would be £188ish on this. You would be better off trying to calculate it properly though, even if it is a little confusing.
21.
I just killed my set of Daddario Nickels in two gigs - they sound like old dead flat wounds now. Pretty gutted really. I've ordered some Rotosounds which i've had better luck with before now. Maybe Elixirs are the way forward tho - how are they with plectrums tho? I've heard somewhere they start to peel if you cane them hard.
I mostly use a pick when gigging and not had any breakdown of the coating on the Elixirs. One of the sets has probably done a dozen or so gigs now and still no sign of wear.
22. Good for you, sounds like a decent deal
