1. Good luck, I was thinking it might have been the parts of Essex nearer to Herts, in which case I could have got along.
2.
I just missed seeing bands like Sabbath, Led Zep and Deep Purple in the period 1970-73, which I reckon was about the best time for any of those.
I saw all of your three in that period. Sabbath and Led Zepp at the Ally Pally and Purple at the Rainbow.
3. Looking good. Where is the first gig then?
4. I'm not qualified to dish out advice about depression but in terms of your uncertainty with instruments, it doesn't have to be one or the other. Play whichever one makes you happy at the time. Some days I don't much fancy the Bass, not often but now and then, on those occasions I'll play my Mandolin or Acoustic Guitar.
5. Cracking selection of P's there Police Squad.
6.
+1 I had one of these for years. Great quality GLWTS
Thanks Deedee and time for a bump
7.
Here's another one; Pigbag - Papas got brand new pigbag. Great groove.
The groovy dude is amongst us
8. I've no experience of the other Jazzes that you mention, just wanted to say that although Fender gets a fair bit of bashing about QC and many forum users go on about terrible Fenders, I would say that there are still many, many better ones than there are bad. I know it could happen but I've yet to have a bad one, yes some have been much better than others but even the ones that weren't quite so good, were actually very playable once set up properly. There is a fair bit of nonsense spouted, often based upon trying out a P or J that has languished in a shop, with dead strings and in need of a set up.
9.
Which version is this? Model number? Thanks
Sorry Tony, I don't know the answer to that.
10.
Where are you based?
Sorry, I should have put details in ad. I'm in Herts.
11. Great work, whacky looking but very pleasing
12. I suppose if it was me and I really liked them both equally, they both were of comparable quality and both did what I wanted/needed, then the decision would be down to which one I felt would lose the least money, when the time came to move it on.
13. Decent quality, used Warwick Gig bag. In good condition, although not totally immaculate. All zips are sound and work as they should. Carry handles and removable shoulder straps. One large, zipped pocket to front. Smaller pocket on rear, with velcro seal. Inside is well padded, the padding is approx. 25-30 mm. and there is a velcro retaining strap for the neck of the instrument. [s]£30.00[/s] dropped to just £25.00 collected from my place in Herts. Add a fiver for postage. Bank transfer or cash preferred.
14. Just been listening to some Yes this afternoon and playing along on my fretless, have to say it was challenging
15. Lozz had some sort of case up for sale a few days back.
16. You did well there it would seem. I think the same cab on the GAK site is £333
17. Really sorry to hear of this, give us some more details Mike. Area stolen from, distinguishing marks etc.
18.
Oh yus I'm still thinking very strongly of pulling them. Anyway, back to the question instead of the mick taking
Yep, sorry for the derailment.
19. This must be a first on BC. Cabs being sold cos the wife said they smell
20. Great to hear of kind gestures like this.
21.
I've discovered I need a fretless with a low B for my new project... I'm having to choose which songs to play fretless on based on which key they are in rather than which song I actually want to play fretless on... There is but one solution... I've emailed Paul about building me a fretless sixer
At least you should have plenty of time to save up
22. I've just completed another transaction with Andy, this time face to face. It was a real pleasure to meet up and I'm so happy that my bass has gone to such an enthusiastic new owner. Just like last time, this was totally hassle free from start to finish. Happy to recommend Stoney as a fine chap to deal with.
