I saw them a few weeks ago, that album was for sale... Wish I'd bought a copy now, could have got it signed! I'm intrigued to hear Argus played on a Rick...
Well when he rang me to ask to borrow my bass, he said he wanted to "create the same kind of sound as he got on Argus" so I assumed he meant he played a Rick on that album? His own Rick was trashed on an aircraft during a tour. He has a black 4000 model which he has had converted to a 4001 (extra pick -up added etc....), but he likes the sound and feel of my bass so he used it for the album, hence the thanks to Tony Clark on the sleeve notes. The album is ok, the production could have been a bit better T.B.H.

Top buyer! I just sold my Tecamp rig to Patch006. He made an enquiry, said he would have it, and then he paid the same day direct into my bank account. A top bloke to deal with! Many thanks and enjoy the Tecamp!
Well done, underated kit, buyer will be amazed with the rig.
Thank you Brian. The buyer has already had a Tecamp 2X12 cab so he is aware of how good these sound. i know he will love it. I'm suprised that there are not more Tecamps around but I guess it's because they are quite expensive new. It's quality stuff.

Due to a new purchase, I am parting with my German made Tecamp Puma 350 head and matching Tecamp L115 cab (4ohms). Both items are in excellent condition and working order. These are made from quality components and are both powerful and lightweight. These would cost about £1500.00 new and I paid £825.00 for both. I am selling them both together at a real steal at £500.00 cash only. Absolutely no offers or P/X or swops please at this price. Collection only please as although the amp is small and light, the cab is a bit bulky. I might post but i'd sooner not! Please note I am selling these as a PAIR ONLY I am NOT splitting them. Oh, and price includes the Klotz lead too! Here is the head (playing/review): Here is the cab (at GAK) http://www.gak.co.uk...amp-l-115/30117 PM me if you are genuinely interested. I will let this run on here this week to give fellow Basschatter's first refusal at a bargain price, before I put them on Ebay, but if I do put them on Ebay, they will be at a higher price due to fees etc......i'm sure you understand. Here is a pic of amp and cab as I can't seem to upload them here. More sent on request on request I have plenty, just give me your email address. clarkpegasus4001 replied to clarkpegasus4001's topic in Gigs
Just a bump as this gig is today....... -
Our Budgie tribute band In For The Kill will play our penultimate gig of 2012 on Saturday 8th December at Rock City (The Basement), Talbot Street, Nottingham NG1 5GG. We will be supporting the brilliant Leeds based Iron Maiden tribute act Iron On Maiden. Please note that the doors will be open for this gig at 6.30pm and IFTK should be on early at around 7.15pm so don't be late! There is a 10pm curfew which is typical of Rock City. The last gig we played there with these guys was fantastic! Admission for this gig will be £10.00 plus £1.00 booking fee. Tickets available on the door or in advance from Rock City here: http://www.rock-city...-budgie-tribute http://www.inforthekill.webeden.co.uk/
Do you have any plans to play Cardiff at all? I go to jam nights with Burke Shelley fairly regularly and it would be fun to go along with him to see you guys!
That gig in Wales I mentioned has now been confirmed for next November 2nd, but it's at Llandudno Junction, so nowhere near Cardiff i'm afraid.
Let me know if you ever get down to London or the SE!
Ok Cosmo will do.

Hi Chaypup. No we don't have any plans to play in Cardiff. We usually only play locally, ie: Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire areas due to financial reasons. However we have have played at Colwyn Bay FC before and there's talk of us playing there again late next year. I'm sure we would play Cardiff but only if we can make the figures work, and of course a venue would have us! I understand Burke still plays in Cardiff with his old friends these days, and although i've met some Budgie members in the past (even played with Simon Lees), i've never actually met Burke personally, so that would be really cool! Cheers Tony C.
That's the one - I went to the 4th Aug show , the first one of the two. The album was In through the Out Door - one of the tracks 'All of my Love'. In the middle is a little fanfare like synth solo. More than anything ever , in my life , hearing that solo acts as a time machine for me. I'm a hope filled 18 year old on a balmy summers night again. Where this fat , miserable bastard came from I've no idea !!!
I was 18 at the time. I arrived when Chas and Dave were playing. I was standing just in front of the mixing desk. Very hot day as I recall.
