1. Is this the same band with Dave Wagstaffe on drums from MTWA? I've not yet spoken to him, but I am good mates with the rest of MTWA especially Ray Hatfield and ex-drummer Rob Hewins who's a big mate of mine. I watched MTWA the other week in Derby. Indigo Child is Ben's band isn't it? i'm in contact with him, via the MTWA website. This gig is too far for me and it's mid-week (I work nights) making this one impossible for me to get to unfortunately.
2.
Lovely one with - shock horror - a different bassist. This time, Nathan Watts
THIS!
3. Did a good one at the Barge in Long Eaton, Nottingham last night. A fair few in and we went down great. Shame about one nutter at the front who said he had taken some pills (what I don't know but he was well out of it). That apart a great evening was had by all, lot's of positive feedback and a re-booking for January, can't be bad.
4. And now re-listed at an even lower price! including FREE UK shipping! I can't believe this did not get bid on the first time given the quality. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130691855618?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
5.
Bit of an unfashionable one (Jeremy Clarkson likes them)- Martin Turners solos during Handy by Wishbone Ash, very musical solos that build up into pretty solid grooves.
This! I had a right job learning this when I played in a Wishbone Ash tribute band.
6. I don't know about your particular model but Joodee/Yamaki were owned by Daion guitars. if you check them out you might find a bit more info. I've seen some really nice Joodee Les Paul lookalikes that have their fans, (Strats too), in fact i almost bought one myself a while back. I'm not so sure about the acoustics though. Your acoustic looks like a mid/late 70's model. Daion guitars went out of business in 1984.
7. Just a quick reminder that this gig is tonight.
8. That bass is horrible. I do love Dennis's playing though!
9. Bank Holiday bump, a reminder that this auction closes on Sunday
10.
Bump for an AWESOME bass and a top guy to deal with. Dan's a real gent. Buy this bass with confidence!
Ditto! Good luck with the sale Dan, i'm looking forward to seeing your new bass when it arrives. This is a cracking bass folks!
11. I can't help you regarding your mixing/mastering question but I really enjoyed the song, it's excellent. great video too! I hope you get sorted out with your needs.

18.
I love Rickie's especially the sound that Geddy and Chris S get out of them, but I found the Necks did not suite by stubby fingers and I got on better with Fender basses. Hugely jealous that your're in a Budgie Tribute band, I met Burke Shelly in the mid 70s at a Budgie gig really nice guy, so was Tony B, probably the most underrated band of all time. Watched your clip from your site, very impressed! Cheers
Oh, Thanks very much. I was playing in a Wishbone Ash tribute band for a couple of years but when that ended I formed the Budgie tribute. Tony Bourge is my hero and the reason i'm playing at all. I have never met Burke but I met Tony Bourge after a gig at The Boat Club in Nottingham when he played in a band called Freeze in the late 70's along with original Budgie drummer Ray Phillips, they were both really nice guys. I have met Pete Boot, drummer on the album In For The Kill who came with his wife to one of our gigs. I've also met ex-Budgie guitarist Simon Lees because he played an encore with us at a Budgie fan get - together a couple of years ago, when his band Anubis were invited to open for us and play their very first gig....all great fun! I have just bought a 1974 Jazz bass so I have both, a Jazz and a Rick. Chris Squire is my fave player (hence the Rick) and Geddy Lee was another influence, Martin Turner also. I'm glad you liked the clip, but i'm pretty sure we have played much better than that! Nice to have you on the site Tony.
19.
"Also wished I had kept my gear, I once owned the 5th Rickenbacker 4001 ever built" Tony
WOW! Welcome to the forum Tony from another Tony who happens to be 50+ I only wished it had been me who had swopped your old Rick. Great to have you aboard.
