Montey's Rock cafe in Harrogate seemed a little quiet before we started last night but one song in and it was rammed and a very noisy and lively night was had by all. Great gig with a few mistakes but the audience loved it and thats what really matters

Big function at the Renaissance Hotel just off Deansgate in Mancheter last night. Nightmare load in one floor up and then down long corridor but we seemed to strip down fast and was back up that M62 for 1.30 with a mini snow blizzard starting that fortunately didn't amount to much Great one set gig with crowd well up for dancing Montey's Rock Cafe in Harrogate tonight if anyone at a loose end
-
Very quiet pub gig on Friday with horrendous snow on the way home which made me question a little bit why I was not snuggled up in bed with my girlfriend but awesome function ( Brownie and Guide leaders ) gig on Saturday night with a rammed dancefloor and beyond for every song in both sets

A 1972 dark blue Mk1 Escort with Rostyle wheels and Mexico wings, loved that car !! -
Cheeky bump to the top ( well it is for charity ) Hope some of you can make down
-
Just thought I would bump this up to the top as the first two bands ( and maybe more ) feature basschat bassists. First on following a recent cancellation is ZZ Eliminator that I believe features Dr Dave on bass ( 2pm ) Next on is the band I play in Empress ( 3pm ) I cant wait to play this huge famous venue Any more basschatters going ?? please say hello if you are Tony

Hi, I need to create some room so need to move on the spare pa speakers I have They are Wharfedale SVP 15" tops and the matching 15" bass bins They are a bit scuffed etc ( I bought them from a DJ about 15 months ago ) and we used them in the band for a few gigs until we got use of the next models up ( EVP ) and they are now set up in my spare room for weekly rehearsal Looking for £180 for the four speakers but happy to offer a basschat discount rather than subject them to ebay Anyone interested and I can take pics etc Tony

Another plus one here for Garageband that comes with ilife, so simple but so powerful.

Mark Bass Traveller TRV115 for possible swop

Recently purchased the above cab from a local shop ( display model ) with the intention of adding a combi as soon as funds permit but my new car has less space ( I also take the pa, lights etc ) and think that if I bought a combi this would just sit at home all the time so thought I would test the waters and see if anyone has a Mark Bass combi that they are perhaps looking to move on ( perhaps going down the seperates route etc ) Just a feeler at the moment as my other option is just to upgrade my amp and keep this cab Mint condition with about 10 gigs under it's belt Tony -
Last night we were back in Montey's rock cafe in Harrogate and it rocked but sadly no pictures taken ( see a previous post ) If you are young ( ish ) free and single then last night in Harrogate was the place to be ( the very short skirt shop seems to be doing very well ) Bay Horse at Lindley in Huddersfield tonight, can't wait !!
"Have you ever seen the rain" Creedence Clearwater... Lovely. The feel induces the feeling, if you know what I mean. I started brain wandering while repeating the slow downward passage and found myself playing the melody from the "The Weight" by the Band. Balcro.
Have you ever seen the rain was on the radio the other day and I thought the same. What lovely little run downs that really make the song. It doesn't have to be fast, complicated or both to be a very tasty "makes the song" bass line

Gig mine 6 to 8 times a month and absolutely love it Had it about 18 months and it's been faultless

Empress playing Skunk Anansie's Weak. Not the best sound but only done on a home camcorder.

Still very puzzled at the mic'ing up the kit for rehearsal !!! We use a touch of kick at most pubs and full mic up for hotels and clubs etc when we do a function but at rehearsal then LESS is more and we use my electric kit to keep the noise at sensible levels ( so much easier to hear wrong notes etc when learning new stuff ) Previous bands I have played in I have used ear plugs with a normal kit at rehearsal to keep the noise down !!

That is going to be a stunning looking bass when it's complete
