1. I have no gig next weekend so if you get very desperate you can borrow my very under rated and unfashionable but done me well for two years Behringer amp and cab or cabs or I have a 150 watt Trace Elliot combo also if preferred. Tony
2.
Is it whoever played bass in Slade?
Must admit that when I hear the Robin mentioned my thoughts turn to Jim Lea !!
3. Currently building a nice eclectic setlist with two other guys and we are looking to add a few extra sounds to the mix. I have an Apple powerbook with garage band and quite happy to use this to play some occasional sounds but how can I trigger them with my feet whilst playing bass !! Tony
4. Many thanks Just added the octave and it sounds better already. I thought they were in there but I wasn't 100% sure Tony
5. Great feedback and pleased I posted this Looks like youtube is the answer Thanks guys Tony
6. Need to learn for tomorrow's rehearsal and had a play about and it sounds pretty much like roots and roots/fifths but any more info would be most welcome if anyone plays it already I normally use GP5 but cant seem to find it on the web Many thanks Tony
7. Thanks for the responses I will look in to the youtube idea as it seems like a format everyone uses Yes, Col did a brilliant job on the audio side for a very very reasonable price. The cd recordings are very good. Tony
8. We recently compiled a "homemade" promo video I have uploaded a low res copy to the website but on my low performing broadband it seems to take too long to upload Please have a look and let me know how it loads and what you think Many thanks http://web.mac.com/tonykeogh/Site/Promo_Video.html

13. Whenever anyone mentions the Hootenanny I have beautiful flashbacks to two years ago and the sexy sax player's legs from the Zutons !!! Steve Harley was right ....... come up and see me and make me smile
14.
Yep, gigging at the Harlow in Harrogate. With a very experienced dep drummer (our regular drummer has a gig with his other band). Looking forward to it.
Played there a few weeks ago, nice easy load in through the back door, easy set up area and plenty of room to move. Nice and friendly audience who were up for a dance as well so you should have a good gig. What's the name of your band ??
15. I am sure these will sell out quickly but if you decide to do some in black put me down for an XL I think the style and logo look very good but on my body black is definitely best
16. At rehearsal last night I tried a multi purpose adaptor that I have ( lots of different voltages and connectors ) and it works fine so I will call in Maplins and buy another ( you can never have enough of these adaptors !! )
17. Not out gigging tonight and not happy about being in a function band when half the band want the summer off and the other half don't want to gig over xmas Think a change is on the way in 2009 !!
18. Could someone please advise me just what are the primary functions/reasons for using a DI box ?? I just plug my bass in to my amp and when we live record or play through a bigger pa I take an xlr out of the amp in to the recording/mixing desk. Many thanks Tony
19. Bought it from Sound Control during the close down phase. The problem is that it is the ac/dc adaptor with the shaver type pins coming out of it so it looks like I will need a complete new adaptor.
20. Yes, I like mine for the convenience factor but my problem is that it was supplied with a two pin "shaver" style plug and the adapter I have seems very loose so I end up gaffa taping it down. Anyone else experience this ??
21. And the names of those would be ?? I'm just a nosey git
22. Just noticed email details so sent reply Tony
23. I would struggle on the 15th as I have a previous commitment and I currently have only played previously about half of your setlist but if you get no other responses then let me know and I will get learning lol ( I have a nice six day break coming up )
24. Welcome, do you play in a local band ??
25. For some reason we have always played ( incorrectly I know ) GG FF EbEb D twice then played C Technically wrong but sounds fine as we pull ( syncopate ?? ) to the G second time round
