1. Having just aquired 5 & 6 string Shukers, I suspect this is now redundant..Awesome bass with piano tones..No issues..Lakky neck is a joy to play..Balances very well hence does not feel as heavy as I thought it would [lighter than my 70's Jazz!]....£350 + p&p....link to original thread...........http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=112414....................
2.
Lucky you withdrew it, that Shuker had everything I wanted in a five string at an excellent price. Soundwise, though, I am not a fan of the stingray tone. How would you characterise the tones on offer? Could you run the MEC pup as a single coil or two singles? Cheers Nick
.....................................................Stingray?? never mentioned that word.....MEC pups?? - it's a Delano..
3. Hi Stuart, hope you're well..Probably right about the ships although I do prefer being anywhere but the UK ..Of course, the sun is always an attraction and I do get to play with some ace players..
4. Withdrawn for now....Still amazed by the tonal possibilities every time I plug-in..Truly seems to be a bass that will cope with EVERYTHING... Dunno who ACG are, but here's one almighty plug for the best active cct I've ever heard............................also a plug for Shuker for a well put together bass with a superb neck
5. Sorry, too busy right now..Yes , the tonal possibilities seem endless ..Low rich dub to Alembic..Jazz bass to Kubicki..It's all there but does require some tweaking/patience as the controls appear to be interactive! 33" Scale works amazingly well but does need a slightly lighter touch..Come to think of it, I'm not 100% sure I want to part with it
6. Bought from danweb22 in January..Awesome array of sounds from the ACG preamp....As I have now bought a shuker 6 , I think maybe this beauty may be redundant...Link to original thread[hope danweb doesn't mind]....................................................http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=116338&st=0 ..£700 plus £25p&p.
7. Forgot to point out, what a great guy to deal with ...............

9. Wow!..Spent years trying to find one of these but not with P type pups Also, I seem to remember the Odyssey logo being on the headstock - a[countersunk] small brass 'O' .......still looks like a monster though..Good luck..

13.
Not to be difficult but rule number 5 of the "RULES AND GUIDELINES ON MARKETPLACE USAGE" states: "5. You must state a price for your item. Anything without a price clearly stated will be subject to removal."
...................I offered the bass as a trade; I think that's within the rules? Anyway, if anyone's interested,£875 posted but still happy to trade..

21.
Hey, it turns out I did get to see this We already do a 32"-35" scale on our Super J 5. They are worth a look if you haven't already tried one. Alternately if it's mainly on the strap that it's too much of a reach (as opposed to on the lap), a set of Dunlop strap pins can be installed with a third flushmount strap pin added to the back of the body. This will make the bass hang more to the right bringing the nut closer in. We've recently done this for a customer and they were really happy with the result. Note to self: next time take a photo.
.......................................Welcome to BC and thanks for taking the time to reply..Here's hoping you become a regular contributor...
22. Yeah Mike does really dig it!..Great player, feels so comfy, nice sound and THAT finish -was really worried that It would need refinishing, fortunately it looks amazing under the lights..UNfortunately, I can't reach the first fret without exerting myself ...If the scale was 33"-35" I think it would be my dream bass[maybe Sheldon will get to see this and build me one]........oh well!.....The search continues.....
