1. Forgot to mention; EXCELLENT TRANSCRIPTION!! ...
 2. Yeah may well be; I just don't hear a bass on the track...
 3. Hi Garry - As it happens, I just found the vinyl, not heard it for years - track listing AJ all tracks except WCWIO[NO bass] and Tunisia with Laboriel & David Foster; Seems like I was wrong re the key, It IS in Eflat and I now remember scoring it for guitar as I was plying my trade on six skinny strings at that time..Cheers..mike
 4.
It is a strict bass part though as it is the main man Anthony Jackson. The part was later doubled with the Moog. It is one of my favourite bass lines ever, ridiculously funky. I love playing this bassline. Cheers for the actual transcription though.
...................You sure about that?..I don't believe AJ is present on this track
 5. Nathan who? Never heard him lay down stuff like that - Am I missing something?..The track in question is definitely AJ or Abe Laboriel...
 6. I wrote this chart out years ago when vinyl was the order of the day! - Just located it and I scored it in D Maj....Was my deck running slow???..Always wanted to do this, hence the chart; never quite worked though..What about Night in tunisia from the same album- suberb bass & vocals..............Best bass line ever? - AJ playing Used To Be A Cha-cha with Michel Camillo & Joel Rosenblatt [NEVER thought I'd say that as I'm a Jaco freak]..

 16.
Hi mate, glad you like it. Interesting you mention the top horn, a year later the design was changed and the horns brought 'in' a bit more. I have had a few Passions now and I have to say I MUCH prefer the Schaller bridge to the newer Kahler units. I suppose the chrome looks a little out of place, a black one would fit better visually, with black hardware... I will PM you a spec sheet/manual that explains the circuit in the bass. Very quirky but lots of unique sounds in it. You can remove the control knobs by popping off the 'lid' on each knob IIRC... My bass is a bit different, and Vigier changed things about a lot in the early days. Post some clips of you playing if you can, and I hpe you give it a good and permanent home! Cheers ped P.s found this pic recently, looks like your bass! (actually it's a series 3 but a similar colour!)
Looks like my girl friend too!!! Thanks for the info..'scuse my faux pas, meant to say MAGNIFIQUE
 17.
Great news on the sale - would be interested to hear your thoughts when you get your hands around her sweet and supple French neck ped
Hi Ped..Well, I stayed up ALL night getting my head around it[and my hands]..First of all I'll list the negatives! Don't really like the top horn;would have liked the front pup maybe an inch further forward so I can "dig in", although it does work really well - normally I tend to stay away from front pups..the bridge although good quality looks like an afterthought on this instrument; My main concern is the neck dimensions; a bit cramped for me particularly higher up the board, hopefully the 5 string model may negate that problem[you gonna sell me one!]..Now the good bits..Nice weight, comfortable to hold; Plays wonderfully well, every note has a sweetness and clarity that is a joy to behold AND the range of sounds available once you figure out the mid sweep control[ I think], is superior to anything I've heard period, and would expect this bass to cope with any and every genre - very useful for me... Even the passive sound is excellent...Could I afford to do so, I would be putting in my order to Vigier for my Passion 5 custom..MAGNIFICO....p.s. how do I remove the control knobs?................................Cheers
 18.
Glad this one went to a good home. As already mentioned, Mike is a top guy & a professional player. I bought my TRB from him a while back.
Howdy, how goes it? - Still kicking myself over the TRB!! Now on the prowl for a Dingwall 5..Regards..mike
 19.
Sold to beneath it all today, thanks for all the positive comments chaps over the last few weeks! Thats a mighty fine bass you've got mike! cheers
Yes, I'd forgotten how good these were[are].Does feel a little cramped but It'll do me until I find the 5 stringer!..Thanks
 20.
Perhaps, perhaps not. We certainly have a different perspective on the way we should behave on a community forum. It's very easy to make your comments on a web forum where you don't have to face the individual whose honesty is in question, as suggested before, if you have a problem; PM the seller, nobody is forcing anyone to buy or sell anything. I'd have no problem with someone publicly exposing a scam after trying the PM route, but in this instance it's plain there is no deception, the photos are there for all to see.
....Gerralife
 21.
When did it become common place to do other peoples instruments down in the for sale section, there's a real spate of this at the moment, it's apparent from the pics so he isn't trying to fool us. Also +1 what Machines said about black, it's a total slag for scratching up. I think there is a differrence between a subjective opinion of condition with clear pictures and some of the dealers we get on here trying to rip people off, I'm all for protecting people from scammers but this is a bit picky lad. £460 is a solid price for the bass as described, good instrument one of the best value of the Fender sigs.
.....You obviously have a different perspective to me on what constitutes 'mint condition'...Lad.......
 22.
It's mint and a great bass. Its a superb bass for slapping and has a really, really low action. Asking £460 for
..Does it have a passive switch?..Does a bass with a 'scratched' pickguard pass as mint??
 23.
Funnily enough , I've just been writing my memoirs - catchily entitled 'Famous rockstars I've shared a bag of onion bahjis with outside a pub in Wakefield' Chapter 1 is called 'Neal Schon out of Journey' Run out of relevant material for the rest of the book though!
.......That must have been the time he did a 'clinic' at the[then] Poste Haste - I was booked as Bassist and was asked to fix a Drummer which I did; when we arrived, another band had arrived, supposedly booked by his management.....I was devastated not to be able to play in front of my locals' with a top player...The story had a good ending I suppose - we were paid as agreed and I got to chat with him. Rather a nice dude although he didn't buy me a Bhaji..
