5. Bought on a whim and used 3 times in the front room Vox Lil Looper http://www.voxamps.com/vll1 Mint condition, box, instructions. Full working order Yours for £75 posted to the UK
6. I've had an LMII and 2 F1's (swapped one and regretted it, so bought another) IMHO the F1 had so much more low frequency punch than the LM. I play in a band with guitard and keyboarder, so I need something to get my message across, despite their best efforts - the F1 just does it for me. On its own, it sounds very clean, but in a band mix, it really fills those lower frequencies. I put it through a Barefaced S12T, and it's the only amp to make me realise why I own a Barefaced :-)
7. I'm also a member of the F1 sold it/ bought another soon after club Such punchy amps, if that's your thing
8. Demeter, Mesa Boogie
9. Quite a lot. Is there a particular reason for the question?
10. Used to use a pick, now fingers, with thumb for quiet stuff Now add a Markbass F1 to the list - tried it last night at full band practice and discovered a level of floor shaking bass that none of the others had ever come close to - incredible :-)
11. I think your ears will explode before the cab does ;-)
12. Sorry. Had 3 Thunders. Got that particular Matsumoku T Shirt Thanks for the offer, though :-)
13. A bump to the top for some Matsumoku loveliness
14. Just received a Markbass F1 from Ian. Condition as described, and a helpful guy sorting out the courier Buy with confidence Cheers
15. As you can see, I've bought and sold to this fine gentleman Bought a Godin A4 off him this time Perfect sale, no hassles and it turned up as it should, in the condition he said it was Very pleased
16. Hi Jon You're absolutely right, it's a 79. Bit of a brain fire when I posted it :-) Cheers
17. I'm moving on this beautiful 1979 Aria Pro II PB-550. Maple neck, new Fender flatwounds, original DiMarzio pup, and sticker. It's got it all going on!! A couple of dings on the top of the body, and at some stage it obviously had an ashtray bridge cover, but for something approaching 36 years old, it's in great shape. Everything works as it should, and it has a real P bass thump to it Yours for £350 delivered to a UK address
18. If you only need it up a couple of inches (quiet at the back!!!), then a Gramma pad will do it - http://www.auralex.com/sound_isolation_gramma/sound_isolation_gramma.asp
19. I put a Mighty MIte maple neck on a black MIJ Squier, bunged an SD Quarter Pounder in the engine room, and it looks and sounds fab
20. I've tried........ GB Shuttle 9.0 Orange TB500 Phil Jones D200 Markbass TTE500 The TTE500 is the only one that got compliments from our guitard. Still looking for an all-valve that will sit on it's slim little body and not look like a mushroom. The Mesa Prodigy Four:88, fits but is close to £2000 new :-(
21. My pleasure :-)
22. Loads of us use Roqsolid. They can do bespoke if there's not the correct one available. Never had one yet that didn't fit like a glove
23. The hardest part of being in a band is learning not to punch the guitard. Once you've got that nailed, playing the tunes is the easy bit. If you're enjoying it, and learning about band dynamics, stick with it. Otherwise, Join My Band, is your next port of call
24. We're more of a jazzy/funky/disco type outfit, and gig 2-3 times a month, but mostly in social club type places. The pub scene seems to be very traditional rock based covers. If that's your thing, and you play well - especially if you have a female singer, you'll do OK down here. Loads of jam/open mic nights around, which is always a good place to meet people and get your face known
