1. La Bella BB (Beatle Bass) flats? Made for short scale Hofner type violin basses.
2. Get yourself a Squier Vintage Modified fretless Jazz. Plenty of second hand ones around from people that wanted to sound like Jaco, and didn't ;-) If it works out, sell it on and get something else, or stick an unlined neck on it, or leave it exactly as it is - they punch well above their weight.

Another who bought a set of pups off Barrie. Exactly as described, quick delivery. Nice one
4. I've put an Orange TB500 and now a Markbass TTE500 through mine. Both sounded completely different, as you would expect, which I think only goes to show that these cabs put out what's put into them, rather than overwriting an amp sound with their own. The TTE500 is very lovely though, and fits perfectly on it
5. Addendum to my last feedback Paul has sent back the new set of Rotosounds that I put on the bass I sold him, at his expense, 'cos he's a TI flats sort of guy and didn't need them. What a top notch Basschat hero
6. Over to you guys http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/fender-jazz-bass-/191132489244?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item2c8062561c
7. I think it's a Banksy
8. My Little Bastard used to double as a handy croissant warmer. Valves contain heaters and by definition will get hot.
9. Never bothered me
10. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nordstrand-Bass-Pick-ups-NP4-/181357298814?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item2a39bcc47e I'm half tempted to ask for just one of them
11. "Running over the same old ground, what have we found, the same old fears, wish you were here"
12. I still think ' What a lucky guy' when I get mine out of its case
13. I buy Roqsolid covers for all the amps & cabs I've owned (which has been quite a few - damn you Ms GAS) and have always found them to be a perfect fit. I'm not looking for something that's going to protect my gear if it falls off a roof, but just to stop the scuffs and dings of loading in/out and guarding again carboot rash, and IMHO Roqsolid do it really well
14.
It sounds completely ridiculous, but a bands appearance and attitude can change their popularity completely. I know it should be all about the music, but it isn't.
+1 If I see a band playing in day wear tee shirts, jeans and scruffy trainers, I just think 'You guys are going nowhere' We're putting on a show, people are good enough to listen to us, so make it look entertaining - is my philosophy. Decent PA, plenty of lights, snappy clothes = happy punters who are ready to swing their pants
15. I 'rent' lots of basses I could spend my money on fags, horses or fast women, but I enjoy noisy planks - probably says more about me than anything else!!!
16. I use the OnSong app on mine - it keeps the backlight on and stops it going into lock
17. Well worth the money. I've had a couple of Affinity P's, 2 VM jazzes and now a MIJ P - and all of them in bog standard condition are well made instruments Plus, they have a good reputation on here and you normally will have no problem selling it on if you want to change
18. Sold my Westone to Paul in an easy, fast, sale Basschat at its best - cheers matey
19. ...............and he didn't - mine is about to sprout wings and fly to Essex
20. Both now gone to new homes
21. 8lb 2oz according to my trusty kitchen scales
22. It's a Yamaha MG166C, which seems to have 1 monitor and 3 send/aux outputs on it
23. I've just joined a new band and the singist has recently bought herself a new PA. It's a Yamaha passive mixer with 2 DFX15 active speakers We want to run a pair of passive floor monitors off the desk, and obviously will need some sort of power amp to boost the monitor output signal from the desk out to the monitors. I have a Mackie powered mixer (500+500) which we could use, I suppose, but it's a bit of a lump to setup next to her mixer, just to run the monitors. Any recommendations or advice? Yes we could all go IEM, but we've got all the stuff we need except a power amp, so it seems a bit of a waste not to use it Cheers
24. I have one up for sale on here http://basschat.co.uk/topic/230180-westone-thunder-1a-open-to-sensible-offers/page__p__2412019__hl__westone__fromsearch__1#entry2412019 I'll stick it on the scales tonight, or you could just buy it and weigh it yourself
25. This is what you have bought!!!
