I've had cobalt flats on my P and they're really good, certainly very smooth and somewhere between flats and rounds although I've gone back to TI flats but I'm into an old school thumpy tone

Aguilar sl112 great cab but having the handle on the side is silly, if your holding it in 1 hand you have to put it down on the cover rather than the rubber feet, makes no sense

Orange AD200B Just been revalved and serviced by greg at guitar aid at a cost of £185, I'll dig the receipt out. Aguilar AG500DC £375 firm it's the 2 channel one in a stag case which is pretty handy as you can get leads and bits and bobs in it too really good condition , only issue is the little fascia for the operate light is missing which is purely cosmetic , the light works perfectly really powerful head, for me it seems louder and heftier than a lot of higher rated amps including my th500 Collection or meet up only, I'm in crystal palace south london Trade for mesa walkabout or m pulse 600

If you wanna dabble with mics don't rule out just putting a regular dynamic mic on a stand or h clamp by the f hole, I sometimes find it more feedback resistant than my dpa , less detailed and it can be boomy but it can work Bare in mind mics will only work in certain live scenarios but if everything aligns it's the best

I find spiro weichs are slappaple in terms of tension but don't sound right imo

Way to low for a gut type E , if you've got an an adjustable bridge you could get the heights changed by taking down the A D G and winding it up , if not it may be worth spending even more money on a bridge as it could be cheaper than more strings .unfortunately string height is key for lower tension strings What are the other string heights?

Hmm, I was gonna say silver slap as I've found them a good blend with guts on some basses, maybe try a belcanto or other fabric cored classical string as it probably wouldn't have the sustain although it wouldn't slap so we'll . I was suprised how much tension a lenzner wound gut E has on one of my basses. Unfortunately it's probably a case of trying loads, I've been suprised how certain basses like certain strings and it can be a long and rocky road finding the right combinations
