1. I actually don't know what it is, don't know much about dave's products, what does it do? Is it an overdrive pedal? EDIT: Never mind, I just googled, sounds like a decent pedal!
2. Do it the proper way - get a hammer!
3. The Ashdown seems like a really good deal, lots of good watts for not that much money! But bear in mind you'll still need a good (4ohhm?) cab with that, but that kind of stuff can be picked up for cheap round these parts!
4. I agree with Hamster, the combined knobs/sliders look as if Ashdown wanted to make EQing harder! Although it's alright on my ABM, the "base" frequencies are covered by knobs, and the others with sliders (this doesn't seem the be the case with the LG's though...). But I'd prefer if it had graphic, or preferably semi-parametric!
5. Wouldn't mind trying them out, as looks don't matter too much to me!
6. Meh, Thunderbirds play like the worst things ever. I don't like them at all! But I can see where the sound could fit in!
7. Am I the only one who LIKE the look of them?!
8. Any idea on the weight?
9. Those Olympias make a pretty good impression of a Thunderchief, from what I've heard!
10.
How much you lookin for?
Yeah, you'll find it much easier to sell stuff here if you put a price on your stuff, people don't like making offers, for fear of offending the seller! And PICTURES!
11. Whoever gets this will be a very VERY lucky person.
12. I read Playstation 3 as well!
13. I hate my Russian Muff, too much low end loss. I think I'll be selling it to a guitarist I know.
14. I now someone who has a fretted version, solid things. By solid I mean what you'd make nuclear bunkers out of!
15. I don't have the money right now, but I was wondering if you could use this to record, as in bass>pod>(audio interface?)>computer?
16. You're selling it? Even though I had no idea what it was when I saw you play, I thought it sounded amazing! Edited to bold
17. I'm sure better mixing etc would really bring out your sound, although it sounds great already! I'd imagine you'd put on a great live show, though I'll have to keep on imagining, until I get my drivers license that is!
18. I have to say, I really like your first three tracks, haven't listened to the rest yet. Initially the songs sounded a bit cluttered, though not overly! I think this adds to your sound though, it's a good sound, i definitely like it! Oh wow, I just heard Set the Scene, amazing song!
19. Hopefully, I'll be on that course next year!
20. Make sure you turn the tweeter off on that Epi, and boost your low mids, while cutting a bit of your treble. If possible, try and get a set of flats, or at least make sure your rounds are dead enough.
21. Welcome to Basschat, Dan! How about something like the Warwick Profet 5.1 for the head? I've never tried one personally, but I know someone who uses one with a home-made 115, and he gets a pretty decent metal tone. I don't have enough experience with cabs in that price range to give a valid suggestion, although maybe I should point you in the direction of either Hartke or Warwick. This is perhaps the most important rule - make sure you try before you buy!
22. It got stolen? Jesus, I'd go crazy!
23. I have a behringer compressor that's incredibly bad, if the sustain is above 8 o clock it makes LOTS of high frequency noise. I also have a Hellbabe wah, that sucks tone like you wouldn't believe.
24. Bollocks, if only I had waited out for this instead of getting the 310!
25. I can't believe this is still here!
