Chris does supply an adaptor that lets it run off a centre neg pedalboard supply, I had some interference issues so run mine with the supplied psu .

    Before you start spending money and dismantling good gear wouldn't it be a good idea to ask Ampeg if it is possible to run a single 8 ohm load off the 4 ohm tap?

    Take the straplock off the strap, put the strap on the button then put the straplock over the top. Like super shiny grolsh washer!

    You might also like to try the compressor upstream of the octave pedal, sometimes it cleans up the signal and helps it to track better.

    I don't doubt you are right BigRedX but some times there just isn't room on some of the stages we play for an extra keyboard and stand, hence the attraction of a pedal. I suppose I could use my V-Accordion as a Midi controller but the image wouldn't fit!

    Very nice, music from my childhood! I got trapped in a session in the Monks Walk and didn't get back to the festival site in time. My friend Jeff went along and said it was a great gig, sound was perfect. Would you mind asking Mrs WoT what mikes she uses on her accordion please?

    Looks almost identical to my not-for-export CIJ Precision. Note that fender Japan has ceased production, is it likely that the same factory is producing instruments for Tokai? Anyway, very nice looking bass.

    Budget Zoom stuff such as the B1on and ms60b both have good synth emulators and you can also experiment by adding on filters or chorus to fatten things up at the end of a chain. Excellent demo Roland Rock by the way.

    I think all mine are in the backwaters thread, can't see the point of posting again. I wouldn't say they're all nice examples either, my 465 in particular is a hard working bass with many scars but it has seen off several much more expensive replacements.

    I'm very happy with my MXR M87 Bass Compressor, I reckon that would be worth a look in that price range.

    Morley Little Alligator has a pot which lets you set a minimum value at the "off" end. Or you could use a clean boost.

    I dunno. My memory is that all of a sudden around 1975 every one was trying to do it, and nobody knew where it came from it was just out there! My memory is not what it was but I do remember you Pete Academy and it's good to see you back and posting again.

    My guitarist friend and I got fired from a gig backing a Country and Western singer/guitarist. The sackable offence was switching to a reggae version half way through "Help Me Make It Through The Night". We were young and daft at the time but in fairness we richly deserved it.

    Kiwi and I both had great results using Burman Pro4000 heads with EBS Neo 2x12 . Added bonus is that the weight of the amp stopped the cab blowing away in the breeze :-)
