The link you gave for the JOYO gear comes up 404 for me. It was going pretty well until this point. I find it a lot easier to carry loads of AAA batteries in various locations and change when necessary, that to remember that I need to recharge the bug, and woe betide you if you forget - back to the cable.

I use a Smoothhound with a bit of velcro stuck on the tail piece just below the output socket to stop it flapping in the breeze.

I'm sure I don't know what you mean, the only thing biased about me is the power valves in my amp 🤣
-
A capacitor is how Tecamp (and presumably Eich) high-pass the feed to the mid/upper driver in their combos and cabs. Greeeted with widespread derision in my repair thread about my Puma combo!

I'm starting to sound like a broken record here, but an LFSys Monaco would be worth considering, especially if you want clarity. What amp are you going to use with it?

Bright Onion make a 3-way amp splitter. Palmer used to make one too but I can't seem to find it any more. Seems like a lot of trouble to go to given that most audiences won't be able to hear the difference.

You cycle to double bass gigs? I use a golf bag trolley to wheel mine around and was thinking about modifying it so that it could attach to the seat post with a Tagalong-style joint. That's a build thread I'd like to see! -
Amazon has it on offer for this price too.

I'm also in Ipswich, please let me know if you need anything. We also have a couple of road trips coming up so might be passing close to you, if you let us know where you are.

Good to see you on-line again Rob, hope all is well.

Get yourself a Roland V-Accordion Rosie, you'll be amazed at what it can do.

I've been using an LFSys Monza with double bass and it sounds excellent. It too has a compression driver and a carefully designed crossover, and projects the mid and upper frequencies upwards so you hear everything really clearly. I'm in Ipswich if you want to try mine, or @stevie might know some owners more local to you if you don't fancy a road trip.

Think that trolley weighs more than my Monza.

At Cosford, they have a Vulcan, a Victor and a Valiant. -
Great stuff @TRBboy . My eldest got into guitar at 13, formed a band with his mates at school. 20 years later, they've all moved back to the area and have started playing gigs together again.

Active. It allows you to boost as well as cut. When I do use a passive bass, it's almost certainly with some sort of pre-amp. For a banjo, it definitely has to be active, preferrably Fishman. Regardless of the number of strings. You can use a Boss LM2 to balance signal levels, but that won't give you control of the EQ. You'd need to put a graphic EQ or something in series.

Could be a tie-in with Vox. P.A. Glock made cabinets for Vox, they were based in Crayford: https://www.voxac30.org.uk/vox_ac30_updates_2020_05.html -
We never came across this scenario. I think if we were ever made aware by a client of the clause we would have declined the booking. In general, I think it's pretty unusual for the client to even read the contract, never mind make the bands aware of any relevant clause. If the client doesn't make the band aware of the clause, what then? I guess to cover yourself, it would have to be in the contract between band and client. All in in all I'm glad I don't do weddings any more!
