The seller has 7,500 positive feedbacks at 100%. That link is now coming up as sold and there don't seem to be any more available, so unless you bought that one you might be out of luck. Thanks for the heads-up though - due to your message I managed to order an Archtop case which will be perfect for my new Epiphone Zenith.

The mobile phone pockets that used to be attached to laptop backpacks are pretty good for this also. I have one which is a perfect fit for my SmoothHound transmitter.

2 x 8 Ohm cabs, one off each output, will give you a total of 4 Ohms. So will daisy-chaining 2 x 8 Ohm cabs. 2 x 4 Ohm cabs will give you a total load of 2 Ohms, which probably isn't such a good idea.

Look for a used Dave Hall Amps VT1 or VT1 Pro.

That's 20 minutes away from me. I'm sure we could work something out. -

Was that really the smallest car they could find? I used to fit mine into an Austin A.30 once upon a time. -
If you're in a Pogues covers band, it's Xmas every gig. Since we don't have a female singer in the band we have to recruit a 'Kirsty' from the audience, which can be hit or miss. Usually when this comes up, I like to talk about the excellent Showcase Showdown, but this year as a tribute to Sharon Jones I'm going to rave about 'Aint no chimneys' instead. Bonus point to anyone who can identify the bass:

I'll always associate that black Celinder Jazz, that used to be the picture on the old site, with (Crazy) Kiwi. And how could I forget @Shockwave and his all-lime-green Pedulla, even down to the strings. -
@JD1 I think it works like this. The 'mid' switch, the middle one in the row of 3 switches on the front of the guitar, has 3 positions: Off, EQ1 and EQ2 . I don't know if the 'Off' position is clockwise or anti clockwise - I suspect the latter. One of the little white trim pots selects the central frequency for EQ1. The other trim pot selects the central frequency for EQ2. The third pot controls the amount of cut or boost for EQ2. I think the cut/boost only works on EQ2 setting and I can't tell from the picture which white trim wheel is which. If it sounds great where it is, probably best left alone 🙂

3. Martin Harley and his band at the Union Chapel in Islington. Great music, incredible venue. Everyone should go there at least once. -
I would be using the second finger, but not for playing the bass. Ah, I see Hiram beat me to it. In that case, ask your man if the name 'James Jamerson' means anything to him.

Just in case you weren't aware, the bank holiday has moved from Monday 2nd to Friday 8th (the following weekend) to co-incide with the 75th anniversary of VE Day. -
Oh no he isn't! I don't know that much about the BBNE2 and virtually nothing about the original BBE. I suspect the preamps are completely different circuits and there's much more difference than just a missing knob and switch. All I can do is read manuals. SPeaking of which there's a service manual for the BBNE available for download here: https://elektrotanya.com/yamaha_bbne_nathan_east_model_guitar.pdf/download.html#dl Sorry but I can't figure out how to use the rubbish post editor to delete the rubbish included files!

To do that would be to miss the point completely. The line that Flea plays drives the whole tune and makes the version sound what it is. It's the essential and fundamental part of the entire arrangement. The difficult thing to capture is not the notes, but the energy of the performance. This version by Josh Fossgreen is a pretty good representation. Start slow, work it up.

This. You don't need to buy anything else.

You have to admit this is a very impressive bit of kit. Love this video explaining how the patches were put together for the official demo.
