1.
Thanks Warpig, Its nice to have someone actually answer my question instead of slagging off the bronco , did you have to do any mods to get the SCPB-1 to fit ? .
Thats ok mate! Just needed to sand abit of the pick-up hole out, and use wider screws for the adjustment holes.
2. Abit light but worth a go! If you take paypal then ill have them
True, I could, but then that would only be a half-stack, and I doubt will be loud enough. Don't you mean two 8ohm 210s? (The Hartke amp is 4ohms, anyways)
Did you start out as a guitarist? Go to a few local rock gigs and check out the bassists rigs, and you'll soon see that alot of people dont need 2x 4-10's. 2x2-10's is definatly loud enough.
5. I stuck a Seymour duncan SCPB-1 in mine made a world of difference. Ignor the haters! Oh and any rail type pick up will work on a bass, its the same principal electronic wise.
6.
how much buffing did you do between coats?
i went over the primer with either 1200 or 1000 wetted. then the final coat again with the same grit.
7. Thanks everyone! It was just plastikote spray paint, my first attempt at it, i dont think ill be doing it again though.
8. If it was mine id go for the red tort, but im just following orders hehe
9.
odb-3, good man hows the bass chorus?? i might get one
The chorus is my first one so i wasnt too sure what to expect but after some testing its just what want, subtle but with some tweeking it can take over
Yeah the ODB-3 is pretty cool. Defiantly kept the low end well. It did most things for me from a light drive to a full on bumble bee fuzz!
Yes! Exsactly! Alot of people talk bad about it, but i find it suits the sound im after. The sansamp is on 90% of the time though.
10. Well i finally completed it today, after many mistakes and loss of interest.... I dont have any good pics of the original, just the sanded down body. Its a Jim Deacon type 'no-name' Strat. After Sanding: Final:
11. Very basic board so far, saving space for a 105q. And the rack stuff:
12. Nearly done modding mine Just need the gold strings The bandmates have coined it 'the bling bass'
13. 45-65-85-105 although i want to go heavier.
14. Yes it will all work together. It is fine to use the 4x10 by itself, itll just be abit quieter. Wheels (Castors) can be bought at any hardware place like B&Q, and installed by someone with some DIY knowledge. IMO the marshall stack will be better in the long run because the cabs can take more wattage, so you could always upgrade the head when you feel the need to. Abit of De-Ja-Vo there
15. How much for personal delievery to Marden, Kent on the Ashdown
16. My TU2 tunes my low b very well, i even dropped it to F# and it was ok, just a bit slower tracking.
17.
Personally I would prefer not to have a drilled enclosure so that I can add a bit more of my own personal touch.
+1 Only takes a little bit of time to DIY. Maybe you could offer both non drilled and pre drilled cases?
18.
do you find that as the signal level drops, the overdrive sounds suddenly disappears ?
Erm never had that problem, maybe your's was faulty
19. it took alot of experimenting and time to find a setting that i liked, there was a fine line between 'too much' and 'too little'.
20. Im relatively new to this effects malarky, over the past couple of months ive built up a board, i use my sansamp BDDI 75% of the time, and my ODB-3 for when i want a more metallicy sound.
21.
stop being such tight asses guys... it's an excellent pedal and you can build to your specs ! I think its a really good idea Dave.
+1 considering the price on a built unit, this is a great deal. Id be interested.
22. haha thats what i was thinking Just need to wait till funds are added to my paypal account and see whats happening.
23. could the LPB-1 be used as a booster for when i change basses? i have 4 basses and 2 have high output and the other 2 are more quieter.
24. By accident i plugged my 12v lead into my daisychain luckily the daisy chain took the damage and saved the pedals.
