I have a Wal midi bass with all its kit but being a 65 year old technophobe I don’t have a clue how to use it. Just use the bass on its own. Can anyone recommend a decent sound module that’s not gonna cost the earth so I can try to get my head round it. Thanks in advance

Obviously having only one pickup you haven’t quite got the tonal variation but the position has been moved slightly towards the neck, so it sounds awesome. Plays lovely if a little heavy. If I had had it made I’d have put the fretless on top.

The guy that had it made ordered it semi chambered to keep the weight down. Although it looks like any other Wal apparently it’s not solid mahogany core.

One of the knobs is volume one for each pickup. The fourth is blend between necks so you can have both necks on but you wouldn’t be able to control any feedback from the second neck. You just wind it one way or the other. To be honest would be easier with a switch.

Now the proud owner of this beauty. It sounds terrific even though it only has one pick up. Not for the faint hearted gigging wise.
