1. oh my, get well soon!
 2.
Very interested in the compact GR MIDI unit... Let me know how you get on!
will do, shep. so far I'm still not too happy with the tracking below the A string. probably still some adjusting of the pu needed, and still some unwanted glitchy noises from time to time so I'll have to deal with the settings, too. (edit: and with my playing technique, too. ) but, sounds are awesome, also in combination with the bass sound. no need for my octamizer atm. well, I'll be working on this.
 3.
Great mix like it
+1
 4. I recently reduced to the max: I'm still exploring the possibilities and will do for quite some time, but this really opens a new world of sounds. love it!
 5. changed my tiny rig a bit. this is what I use live with my jazz trio: it's enough for me.
 6. right now on my 4 basses there are thomastik jazz flats, dr neon 45-125, newsound 40-100 and r.cocco steels 40-100. i like them all so far.
 7.
No probs. You'll find everyone has their own favourite when it comes to 'phones - here's mine: http://www.amazon.co...2978676&sr=8-14 I find these give a very flat and accurate sound for the price. Ultimately though, I strongly recommend visiting your local retailer and trying them out in-store (then buying online if you can find them cheaper). How well they fit your bonce can be a big issue!
+1 on these, but the older "monitor" version, which you can sometime grab for a good price in the bay.
 8.
... Nice one Krysh! Slick bass playing there mate - nice tone too. I really like the pounding kick drum than runs throughout the track. Gives it a nice pulse. Sounds like you can play guitar too! And percussion?? Not fair, but all good ...
thanks skol. I sampled the cajon set of my ex band, so it is only programmed. great contributions so far, good luck fellas!
 9.
Nice one, great effect at the end as it fades out, like it
thanks a lot stephen.
 10. thanks for this positive thread nigel. the vibes are there! atm I'm really delighted with my trio. nice and reliable people who can play with their heart. I can't remember whenever I enjoyed even the rehearsals this much. and also we had a great 1st gig yesterday. still only 8 songs, still on the way to refine ourselves, but isn't this the way to go? nevertheless we were able to touch some souls.
 11.
A fiftieth birthday party in a hotel in central London which went well. No vomit, electricution, fight scenes, sound limiters or idiots. Boring really when compared to the various disasters above. Perhaps it's my turn next?
I feel really sorry for you, mate.
 12.
A great pub gig for the Razors last night , though , it was a bit odd cause the girl who booked us was having a birthday party in the pub, and she got hold of our reserve song list and proceeded to rebuild the setlist . we accomodated a fair bit by dropping a few of the 'heavier' numbers and dropped in another beatles , crowded house and a few others and had the place bouncing , we even had to put summer of 69 back in The end time is midnight , but the landlord came up to us and asked us to keep playing , so we threw beatles , highway to hell and finished with Tenpole tudor , swords of a thousand men !!! , got re-booked for a bigger fee and everyone was happy , cushty.
great.
 13.
looks lovely. Whats that you are doing with the inputs? Bridging?
jep, this way u can nicely mix the normal and brilliant channel and since the ampeg cab is not very effective, I can push the amp a little more.
 14.
I really liked what you've done there Great rhythm and superb bass playing. Your vocals are really cool too.
thanks mate, glad you like it.
 15.
I just had a look at your web page and bands. Looks like a lot of fun you are having out in Hamburg! I've been to Espelcamp and Minden a few times (about 200 km south of you) for work but the music scene was non existant I like your competition entry it really works with the pictures. 'dimidium facti qui coepit habet: sapere aude, incipe'
thanks a lot and you got me, eh? well, hamburg is one of the main music cities in germany, so I'm probably just a bit lucky. cheers mate.
 16. I know what you are talking about: oh, and it is NOT for sale, too!.
 17. thanks to basschat, I was able to get back into producing. here is my humble contribution of what the 2 great pics of Sliddx and Skol303 made me to do within around 22 hours: http://soundcloud.co.../krysh-the-face I hope you enjoy even a little bit of how much I enjoyed working on it. and please feel free to give feedback. cheers!
 18. this evening I had the 1st gig with my jazz trio (drums, keys, bass) to perform some songs of our 1st album. it was a complete blast. one of the most promising female singers in hamburg entered the stage just to join us during our set and this song was a real blast. we improvised over our themes to make her feel comfortable and it just rocked, if I'm allowed to use this expression in jazz context. well, it helped that our 1st performance was on the birthdayparty of the label-owner and producer of our 1st album so we could really make some cool contacts, but it was really cool since we agreed to do a collaboration with the great singer within the next 2 months. so, it was a fantastic day!
 19. for me it has been completely fulfilling. 1st, I finished my contribution to the november 2012 composing competition, only have to mix and master it properly on sunday (tomorrow - today? . then later his evening I had the 1st gig with my jazz trio (drums, keys, bass) to perform some songs of our 1st album. it was a complete blast. one of the most promising female singers in hamburg entered the stage just to join us during our set and this song was a real blast. we improvised over our themes to make her feel comfortable and it just rocked, if I'm allowed to use this expression in jazz context. well, it helped that our 1st performance was on the birthdayparty of the label-owner and producer of our 1st album so we could really make some cool contacts, but it was rally cool since we agreed to do a collaboration with the great singer within the next 2 months. so, it was a fantastic day!
