1.
I don't know. It was £1.20 when I first saw it.
I thought it may have been one of those that had a silly low BIN and then someone starts bidding.... Having said that, I'm after this!
2. I thought this was a joke. It's a bass guitar forum.
3. they sell them here And you may want to move this to the "wanted" section.....
4.
Ibanez Roadster with hard case. And someone bid £1 on it http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1981-Ibanez-Roadster...=item27b835bff4
Was there a BIN on it?
5. Ridiculously priced Thunder Jet http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...23#ht_882wt_936
6. If the seller really "found this in the attic" then he's a jammy sod. Westone Raider II
7. Here's my current lot (until later on today when the Yamaha gets shipped off) Left to right: Yamaha BB300 Shine SB35 (surprisingly good for the very little I got it for) Westone Thunder IA - my main bass and the one I'll keep forever Ibanez St940 - the new favourite! All cheap as chips but I love 'em anyway.
8.
Don't suppose you can find out where it was made? e.g. Japan, Korea, Taiwan etc...
June 15th 1985 in Japan, according to the serial number calculator.
9. I've found the serial number - LM15032
10.
My bb400 serial is on the headstock, but it's small and just stamped in, so it's very hard to see unless you angle the light. Yamaha (U.S.) tracked the serial down for me with a phone call. Service or what.
Thanks - I found it on the back of the headstock, very faint in tiny letters!
11. Annoyingly, I can't find the serial number on my BB300 or any reference as to where it is on the 'net. In one forum, someone mentioned it being on the headstock - but it ain't! Anyone able to help me? Cheers!
12. I bought this bass as a back-up for a musical I did in December and therefore have hardly used it. Very nice player, nice low action etc, just not my type of bass. There are a fair few bumps on it but nothing calamitous. The worst is on the back of the neck where there are 3 or 4 scratches - see photo attached. Previous to my owning it the bridge was upgraded (!) to a Patrick Eggle sustainer bridge. Anyway, I bought it for £125 plus £25 postage back in November so I'm asking £100 inc. postage or make me an offer and pick it up! I will have a look about for the serial number if anyone is interested. Edit: I'll chuck in the straplocks AND the original strap buttons! 22.01.11 - SOLD pending the usual.
13.
Palladino?
Of course! I don't know where he lives now but the rest of his family are still in Cardiff.
14. Yeah I'd love to come - I've never been to a bass day! Can we get Pino to come?
15. Just bought a 5 string from Bobby, arrived quickly and well wrapped, super cheap and good info all the way. What a nice chap!
16. I remember Quincy Jones saying that he and his mates learned to be incredibly quick at sight reading so that they could spend most of the gig checking out the women in the audience - great motivation!
17. I emailed the guy about the tuner and got this reply: "Dear chaynanigans, dont ever get your girlfriend to list your things on ebay.its £10 starter price - chrisallen.1975" Hahaha!
18. He also has a behringer tuner for sale at £1500.00. MUST be an error surerly? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=130473606883
19. The Bass Bible! Lots of interesting techniques and covers everything from really simple stuff to complex lines. The only downside is that it also has tab alongside which I find distracting.
20. There must be exemptions to age/race discrimation for acting jobs - doesn't that apply here too? (on the age aspect)
21. Nice Aria pro down in Bristol - as you can tell, I'm on the hunt this afternoon! http://bristol.gumtree.com/bristol/77/71368877.html
