1. Why no Queen?
2. Do 'Get it On' by T Rex for the 70's
3.
'She Bangs the Drums' and 'I am the Resurection' oh...... and Love is the Law by the Seahorses. Every one a crowd pleaser.
Even the instrumental at the end of I Am the Resurrection?
4.
Another vote for 'And Your Bird Can Sing' here. We play this in the middle of a set full of Green Day, RHCP, Killers, Stone Roses etc. and it works. It shouldn't, but it does. Plus it's only 2 minutes long
Which Stone Roses songs do you do?
5.
So do I. But that's because I'm part Chinese.
Like in a Frankenstein's monster way?
6. So am I, bloody hayfever. I look Chinese.
7. Look at this http://www.spidermusic.co.uk/index.php?action=showProduct&ProID=377 Edit: Actually I think it's different to yours
8.
Oasis. nuff said
They had some very good songs, and going off what I read in Tony McCarroll's book, they worked really hard travelling around the country and building up a following for five years before they were signed by Creation.
9. My mate's got one of these, his dad lent it to him and he only payed £50 for it. I thought it was a pretty good bass when I tried it, I really liked the neck.
10.
For 'influenced' read 'educated'. Aha my theory is still holding up A
No, I mean influenced, he wants to be just like him
11.
Thats a very interesting point from a very good case. You may be similar in many ways however your still both individuals so the personal makeup figures. Im also assuming you both had different friends etc?
Nope, we've always had pretty much the same friends. I think he's a lot more influenced by our older brother than I am though.
12. I know I like what I do music wise because it was always playing when I was little, but my twin brother doesn't like any of the same music as me so I can only speak for myself.
13.
I think the fact that half of the teenage population is in love with him/them also helps the cash flow. I absolutely f*cking despise him. Although i'll admit, it takes some skill (and obvious marmite-like target audience) to get on the Kerrang! Best Band and Worst Band list at the Kerrang! Awards a few years back. Oli Sykes Axl Rose Fred Durst (Sometimes) Courntney Love and the Gallagher twins. Those are my frontman hates (Yes, they're all men, even Courtney Love, although Axl i'm not 100% sure of ) Liam
Gallagher twins?
14.
Just thinking about that brought a tear to my eye.
...which eye you talkin' 'bout Willis?
15. Only Fools and Horses!
16. I had two blisters on my eyes once, not from playing bass of course but it was still awfully painful
17. What's all that #KateArmy business about in the comments?
18. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rF_nuy8zSo4&feature=youtube_gdata_player I like this one.
19.
This c**t
Can I change my vote?
20. The singer from Young Guns, or any of those glorified boybands. I got dragged along to see Enter Shikari in Manchester last month and Young Guns were supporting, he pranced around the stage dropping the F-bomb every two seconds between each identical sounding song and asked the audience to "get down on your f****** knees Manchester!" at one point. He couldn't sing either. Liam's alright, he's quite funny in interviews.
21. About the same for me
22. "Please send your track, along with your sort code and account number to [email protected] and we will take it from there."
23. I was trying a Jazz bass (didn't like it much) out in Dawsons in Chester this afternoon, when this lad walks over with the salesman to try one out for himself; he sits down opposite me and spends a good few minutes fiddling about with the EQ on a Roland Cube, then proceeds to treat us all to the worst slap bass solo in history. How many times can someone play E and it's octave in five minutes? A lot apparently. Why on earth do people insist on doing that? I feel sorry for the sales people having to put up with it.
24. This one probably isn't very well known, but it's another good little three minute pop song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcyK-edUByk&feature=youtube_gdata_player
25. It's gotta be this for me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eu2iv-vMKT8&feature=youtube_gdata_player
