1.
Bastard sinistrals all. Fooking illuminati innit?
Is Kermit one of them lizard people that David Icke is always going on about?
 2. I'm intrigued, what is it and what does it do?
 3.
??? What/who is this? Did GF just sample that or rip it off? Interesting.
Grandmaster Melle Mel sampled it, Grandmaster Flash actually had nothing to do with that record apparently.
 4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6QnK0yql8s&feature=youtube_gdata_player Mainly for 3:39 onwards, one of the reasons I learnt to play.
 5. Band on the Run is a great bassline, so is Rain, they're my two favourites from each band and both really fun to play too. I'd have to say The Beatles because I'm biased and haven't heard much of Wings.
 6.
I'm jealous of his legs. >.> But if he's half as pretty under that mask as I imagine him to be, goddamn, he'd be perfect. There aren't enough pretty guys who play bass. No offence chaps.
7.
Oh, and sorry if I'm a little down on that part of Wales - my lot are from Flint, hence the 'gobby Scouser' tag Nothing like a bit of North/South banter
Small world, I'm from Mold
 8.
me too! I played drums. My kit was made from a plastic bucket, cardboard cilinders, with tape to protect the "skins" from my sticks (cardboard alone breaks too quickly), three metal plates of various sizes that were original part of a fruit holder, the underside of my little sister's cot (metal strips and springs, sounded great and reverby ) and a real cymbal I managed to buy at the local flea market for nearly nothing as it was bent. One friend of mine played electric guitar (not an Affinity Squier, those did not exist yet, Squiers are actually decent... he had some horrible made in Japan or somewhere else unplayable thing, the brand name was Arirang), and another played a Spanish guitar. That was our band. The "Maderos Light" we called ourselves. We were 16. We did not let instruments (or talent) get in the way of us being in a band
Who needs instruments!
 9.
When we started most of the stuff was borrowed or starter kit.
This guy says he's been playing for four years though, and says he's been in a band before
 10. My drummer mate rang me before to say he'd found a guitarist, I asked him if he had any recordings to show us and he hung up to go and find out. Ten minutes later I got a text off the guitarist saying: "I'll do me best to do 1 but it's probz gunna be at the weekend, im working till like 5 everydai this week so I'm gunna be shattered man." Fair enough, five pm is ridiculously late after all... Then I asked him what amp he was using, he said: "its a little one i got in the box with my guitar" Why tell someone you're looking for a band if you've got no interest in putting time aside to practise, and no appropriate equipment?
 11.
I personally could care less if some one dosn't like my music or my playing.
Couldn't care less, surely?
 12.
Strumming a 6 string no problem, pick up a bass - different story!
I was talking about this with my brother last night. I was teaching him a few guitar chords and we could sing along just fine on the guitar, but when I went back to my bass to play along with him, my brain decided to lock my fingers and deactivate my vocal cords. The same thing happened to him, it's really strange.
 13.
He's never trusted me since I dropped by one night and didn't want to bother security.
You are a bad, bad man.
 14. How likely is it that he's gonna get harrassed? Did Guy Pratt get hassled when he joined? I think most people on here have enough respect to not message a well known user stupid questions every few seconds.
 15. John Power when he was in the La's, nothing fancy in his playing but it fit every song perfectly
 16.
I dont mind Guigsy as a bass player, he played what was needed on all Oasis tracks. If I was asked to come up with what Noel wanted, I would have played the same thing he played.
Tony McCarroll says in his book that Guigsy didn't write or play anything on Definitely Maybe, and that Noel played bass. I'm not sure if I believe that or not, the book does seem quite honest though.
 17.
To be fair though isn't your left testicle playing in the West End ATM?
That conjures up some strange images
 18.
Until he says Alain Caron is better than Guiggsy of course
My left testicle is better than Guigsy
 19.
I'm on here too, but not many know who I am.
I know who you are.
 20. Haha, cool. He's the reason I started playing
 21.
If you read his three posts certainly sounds like the man himself
Got a link? My phone doesn't let me see people's posts from their profile Never mind, got it!
 22. Is it really Mani though? I hope so, that'd be ace.
 23. It's a great feeling just before you start playing, then once the drummer counts you in it's like an out of body experience for a few seconds where you're just watching yourself play. Wish I could do it again, good luck!
