The thing is, he's technically not a bad player, he just learned by himself in his bedroom copying songs from tabs (mostly shredding and tapping) without taking the time to learn and understand what he was playing when the occasional chord did appear.

From a guitarist: "I can't play songs x, y and z because I don't know chords and I can't be arsed learning." I thought he was joking.

What's the problem?

They bought Bassmasta didn't they? Most of the tabs I've looked at are pretty accurate, but some aren't even close.

It's not so much the weight that's the problem, it's the handles on either side that make it awkward to carry, doorways are a right pain in the arse when you keep peeling the skin off the back of your hands every time you pass through one.

I've got the MB4210 with the MBC115 cabinet and it sounds really good in my opinion. It's loud enough on its own for small gigs/rehearsal, and the cab, which soundslive.co.uk were selling for £150 last week does indded make it all look really cool and sounds great too.

I wonder if anyone has a copy of the Beatles performing Paperback Writer on TOTP, I read somewhere that the BBC wiped that too.

Are they active or passive?

How much did that set you back? I want one of those so badly that I've hidden a black one behind a couple of Fenders in my local music shop, in the hope that nobody finds it and I can buy it after Christmas.

What would you class as budget?

I've got two, but one's a bit bent. Still works though, ladies.

Apologies if this has been done before, I did a search but didn't see anything similar. I had my first ever gig last night performing a few covers at my work's christmas party, and I loved it. We all played well and it the audience were great, everyone was dancing and singing along, and they shouted for more once we'd finished. I can't wait to do it again next week. So, did everyone else's first gig go as well, or did you fall flat on your arse and die? Let's hear it!

You can't go wrong with a Vintage Modified Squier, I couldn't tell any difference between it and the Mexican Fender when I tried them out in Dawsons.

There's screws on the side, I feel like a tit now. Just in case that doesn't work, how do I "Roach" my knobs? (Ooh Matron.)

I bought a set of gold control knobs off my mate, who said they'd fit a P-bass or a Telecaster. When I tried to put them on my bass I noticed that they didn't have the black insert that I found inside the original chrome knobs, which seems to hold them in place. This is probably a ridiculously soft question, but does anybody know how I can get them to fit? Any help or cruel mockery would be appreciated.
