  2. Beautiful. I'm in bits.
  3. Love this interview with him. He was so driven from an early age. His creativity and work ethic also led him to build some lovely hot rod cars in his own garage. Shame this doesn't show the whole interview where he talks about going round Jimmy Page's house to have a go on 'proper' guitars. EDIT; Full interview now on next page!

  6. I had a Gallien Kreuger Fusion 500. Cracking little amp. Don't know what their current range is though but I wish I still had that amp.

  16. As I said in an earlier post, putting a Thumpinator HP filter in my signal chain made a very noticable improvement to my little Fender Rumble 100. Makes a big, big difference on a smaller single cab combo when the power is focussed on delivering the frequencies you want, and not being drained by inaudible mush. Seems much more dramatic on a small amp with limited headroom than a big beast with masses of grunt. I'd absolutely recommend it in this context.
  17. I've never played through one but have always been pretty gobsmacked by the AER (Amp One?) combo. Have seen them used live a few times and was quite astonished that so much sound could come from such a tiny thing.
  18. Aerial - Dean Friedman
  19. Beak Cos the Night - Springsteen/ Patti Smith

  21. Fender Rumble 100. Loud enough for smallish gigs and light as a feather. Stick a Thumpinator pedal in front of it to filter out the useless super low frequencies that suck up all the power and then you can push it hard. I've gigged mine like that with a drummer and fairly loud guitar and it had plenty of headroom.
  22. The logical successor to Kenneth MacKellar singing Donald Where's Ya Troosers which was wheeled out for at least 50 years. Stopped watching the Hootananny donkeys years ago when it became obvious it would never improve.
  23. Strange Fruit - Billie Holliday
  24. What's Going On? - Marvin
  25. Making Your Mind Up - Buck's Fizz
