Anyone got any opinions on strings for short scale basses. I'm using an Ibanez Talman (probably has stock strings on it), but finding them a bit floppy. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I have a couple of relatively expensive basses (Stingray and a vintage Tokai), but I now only gig with with a Harley Benton PB50 or and Ibanez Talman. My good stuff stays well away from drunken dancing pillocks these days and nobody seems to notice.

Gigged one of these for years. Mine was 4 ohm with Black Widow drivers. Awesome cab and not too bad to move around on casters. Proper trouser flapping ability. It used to feel like someone was kicking the back of my legs stood in front of that 18.
