  1. I had the M82 and an Aguilar Filter Twin when I was playing the kind of stuff that needed an envelope filter. Out of the 2 I much preferred the Filter Twin because, as you say, I found the MXR a bit thin sounding. Just personal preference though. The M82 got shifted pretty quickly.

You'll get everything on your list and masses more. You just hold the footswitch down to activate the tuner/mute.
  4. I have, amongst many other things, a Zoom B3. I could easily get by with that in any situation but the truth is, I get bored and I like buying stuff to muck about with, and pedals are relatively cheap. It is complete madness, but I buy pedals I don't need because I'm done with buying amps, cabs and guitars because I'm overloaded with them as it is. So, I cart a pedal board around when I could slip the B3 into the pocket of a gig bag and be done with it. Right, off to the F/S section to see if there's anything I fancy trying out, when in fact I should be advertising a load of stuff I never use.

  8. I've spent a fortune on amps that I like the sound of (and since I'm dreadful at letting stuff go, I still have nearly all of them). I doubt 99% of punters could tell much/any difference between any of them and wouldn't care if they could. I rarely play through FOH so in answer to the question, my amp sound is for me and the 1% of punters who give a toss what the bass sounds like.
