  1. I do like a volume control and a clean blend option on certain types of pedal.
  2. I like the Valeton stuff. Particular favorites of mine are the OC10 octaver which is a great copy of the Boss OC2 and top of my list is the FET Preamp pedal which just makes everything sound plump and lush. Hard to find now though.
  3. Call Me The Breeze - Lynryd Skynyrd
  4. I've got one. It's not very gig friendly since it's fiddly to change stuff around, but in my experience, absolutely fine to use as either an 'always on' preamp sort of thing, or a single stomp box for a particular effect or set thereof. It has some great patches and some not so great. I use mine as a tuner/mute and a preamp patch which is pretty much always on.
  5. Plank You - Led Zeppelin (these are getting pretty bad now!)
  6. I Putt a Spell on You - Nina Simone
  7. Up On the Roof - James Taylor
  8. I'm lucky like that too, although it has to be said that my Mrs hobby, horses, is a whole lot more expensive than anythig I've ever come up with. We recently had a vets bill which would have covered the cost of my Musicman Stingray and Eden WT800 and 2x12 cab with a whole lot to spare. In effect I'm permanently in credit although also permanently skint too.
  9. The Drugs Dont Work - The Verve
  10. SMX is a cracking amp in my opinion and the dual band compressor is the icing on the cake. Should have kept mine but the dreaded GAS got the better of me years ago.
  11. I always run my fingers down them to get the twists out then put the ends together. Then go end to end again and repeat until there's 2 to 3 ft length. Then tie in a loose knot. Has worked fine for me for decades.
  12. Have been looking for a Digitech Drop for a while with no success. Singer can't reach some of the high notes in the stuff we do and some of it doesn't work well without the low notes. So, have just 'snapped up' a Behringer US600 which is allegedly capable of handling pitch shifting so I can tune down from E to Eb or D. We shall see. Up til now I've used a pitch shift patch on a Zoom B3 but it sounds a bit 'chorusy'. I'm supposed to be getting rid of stuff by the way, not acquiring more of it.
  13. Crazy - Patsy Kline
  14. Darkness on the Edge of Town - Bruce Springsteen
  15. If you're music is rubbish, make it offensive and at least angry people might buy it. It's a market, albeit a fairly small and sad one.
  16. Hurry Home - Ella Fitzgerald
  17. Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word - Reg
  18. Chirpy Chirpy Cheap Cheap - Middle of the Road.
  19. Strange Brew - Cream
  20. Stoatal Eclipse of the Heart - Bonnie Tyler
  21. Rock Me Baby - Robin Trower
  22. Might be worth getting if you gig and have a backup amp that isn't a V-4B.
  23. Fire Brigade - The Move
  24. In The Canyons of Your Mind - The Bonzos
  25. Stormy Monday - T Bone Walker
