First Bass Owned: Peavey Foundation. The butt of many jokes which you'd only really get if you went to school in Scotland and did you Standard Grades! 'Go To' Bass: Recently re-aquired Fender P 'Your' Bass: Same again, to the extent that I'm seriously considering getting rid of my other two basses, I could do with the cash more than two basses taking up space and gathering dust
Sage Green Metallic. It kinda changes colour depending on what light it's in!
That's what I thought, but it's hard to tell in that light! I've got one in the same colour!

New neck is too big for the neck pocket!
Jono Bolton replied to aceuggy's topic in Repairs and Technical
I had a Mighty Mite neck on my old Marcus Miller Jazz and when I got the neck it was a bit too wide for the neck pocket, even though it was a Fender body and a Licensed by Fender neck. I took it to GuitarGuitar in Glasgow and had it put together, the tech widened the neck pocket to fit the neck for a tight fit, drilled the neck for the bolts and set it up too, cost about £80 all in. I'm sure the body probably is a genuine Fender, it's just that the neck is slightly oversized. -

I don't know if I'm missing something here, but I don't see why Geester posted that thread about the scam! As far as I can see, it's not covering his tracks, he's basically posted a thread trying to pass it off as a scam, but he's basically posted a play-by-play of what he's done himself! Am I being thick here?

Hi there! I'm expecting a new P Bass in the next few days and it's fitted with chrome pickup and bridge covers. Now I have no need for these, and TBH could do with the cash, so would anyone be interested in the set for say, £22 posted? I'll get pics up when the bass arrives! Cheers Jono EDIT: Pickup cover gone, keeping the bridge cover now!

I'd cast a vote for Mighty Mite, I've got a maple Jazz neck on my Marcus Miller and it's really nice to play. The finish was quite thin and anaemic looking when I got it but it's gotten darker with time and worn in really nicely. A bargain for the £80 I paid for it too.
For God's sake, what a pedant! If you email I'll send you a picture of anything you like. If you're not interested you don't have to post anything. It's easy. We're all adults in here right?
He's only offering a suggestion which will help you sell your bass. If you have time to send emails then you've got time to post a couple of pictures! Assuming ten people enquire about your bass would it not be easier to post pictures once so they can all view your bass, rather than send the pictures ten times as emails? If I was going to spend £600 I'd expect the seller to be willing to post some pictures of the bass! Somehow I don't think it's your lack of pictures that's going to hinder your sale though
OMG - what an absolutely lovely sight!! Do you have any favourite(s)?
I do! That black Jazz with the maple neck and pearl blocks is lovely!

Small and dingy, with some pretty tidy barmaids, I love it!

Saw a poster for the gig in Bloc last night, I'll be there!
Haha, this place is so incestuous! But not in a sexual way of course Was it only 9 months ago? Well if you can spot a decent set of rounds FS on BC at a good price I will happily lob £15 plus postage your way for the La Bella's on Paypal (as a gift)
No, it was longer than 9 months ago, about 2 years now, but I asked at the time what strings they were and still had a note of it! No problem, unless a trade comes up before I find some decent strings I'll give you a shout. I don't have Paypal though, sorry mate!
I just put up an Items Wanted post for these very strings! Except I don't have any rounds to trade Can I buy them off you instead mate? Edit: I am after 760FS which is Standard gauge (45-105) not medium gauge (49-109). Which ones do you have?
Clarky I just called them medium gauge as I always think of 45-105 as "medium", they're the Standard Gauge though, I got them after the P Bass I bought from you had them on! As for selling them, I'd prefer to trade as I don't really have enough spare cash at the minute to get a new set of strings!

Hi all! I've currently got a set of La Bella Deep Talkin' Flats on my Jazz, had them on for about 9 months but they've not had much use. They're medium gauge, 45-105, I'm looking to trade for a set of rounds, new or slightly used, I'm easy. I prefer D' Addario Pro Steels but I'll listen to whatever you've got, just looking for rounds in a similar gauge.
Last two basses I sold I think I sold in part as they were too pristine for me.
Done that! I sold a Fender American Standard that I'd saved for ages to buy as I was too worried about damaging such a nice bass, think I only gigged it once. I used the funds to put together my Marcus Miller Jazz Bitsa which is about 9/10 condition but I can play it all day long and not worry about it. It's still in much the same condition as when I put it together but I don't have the worry of damaging a pristine instrument because it already carried one or two dings.
