For this to work there has to be a lot more joined-up thinking than at present. Example - I run a high street clothing retail shop. Our main supplier has a large self-serving internet site, without warning they made all their retail outlets into a 'click & collect' facility, with no notice & no financial incentive - bonus to us=nil, we just pay to be here......doh. 😎

I'm betting that HMV stores don't see the New Year in.......... 😎

While we're doing a lighting thread - I once met a delightful old boy who did the sparking stuff at the Kings Hall, Herne Bay. He asked if I'd ever worked in lime(light)? So there I was, lit with a moving lime follow spot, for both sets - unforgettable! All a long time ago (1972ish?) - it's had an interior makeover since then.......... 😎

A fair amount of Black Friday merch is supplied to the shops at discount rates by the wholesale trade.......... whether or not it represents 'value for money' is up to the consumer to decide. 😎

I've got a bit of a mountain of amp kit on t'bay - it's all good & I refuse to give it away - case in point Marshall 200valve rack, fully refurbed, with new ABS wheeled case, JMP1 and Marshall JFX unit - some moron tried to get it for 500..........a fire sale it ain't........so it's not just here! 😎 ......... a very nice man somewhere in the Eastern Block bought the preamp & jfx for 600 - & paid carriage...........

The worst soundtrack I ever heard on an 'adult' movie, was Match of the Day theme - looped............... 😎
