1. I'm looking for a price on 1/4 jack balanced feed cable (about 7m) - cant mail OBBM, haven't got Microsoft mail......anyone help?
2. 'charities' at the end of the day, have the intent of raising money. The difference between most & a commercial outfit is often so thin as to be transparent. I have seen the 'c' word abused so many times..........
3. I actually run a shop & we get so bored with idiots who waste an hour (usually when it's raining), doing the 'enthusiastic' act, merely to stroll out and say they are going to meet the other half for a coffee, but they'll bring them back with them later. ...........yeah, right...........
4. ^^^^ Welsh Bass Player.............
5. Just a point, 'once the live music is over' is when the band will be thinking about going home, not morphing into a cheap non-disco......someone's not thought this through?
6. ^ ^ ^ Aretha Franklin used to do the same before she retired......
7. RIP and thank you............
8. 'Dancing in the Street' has to be one of the better piss takes I've seen...........
9. Another one leaves us........RIP & Thank you for the music.
10. Makes a very pleasant change for any money sent to a 'reggae' artist to actually benefit them........
11. Neil Diamond wrote this in 1967...... The song was covered by several artists shortly after Diamond's recording was released. In 1968 the Dutch singer Peter Tetteroo (from the band Tee Set) had a hit with a cover of the song in The Netherlands. Tony Tribe covered the song in 1969 in a reggae-influenced style. Fourteen years later, UB40 recorded it in 1983 in a lighter reggae style;

13. Another vote for an independent.........I had Marshall service an amp a short while back........nuff said, really.
14. Well, I got the size wrong........
15. 2x10? Nope, give up......... someone?
16. Front panel is 'JTM 45' - you have to zoom the pics.
17. DON'T POWER IT UP !!!!!!! Give it to a proper tech......it needs tlc.......... I'd contact Steve Rowse in Axminster, he's a Marshall approved fixer and knows what he's doing...pm me for contact........
18. Aah - the back pic wasn't around when I replied - it's early, no doubt..... The very first Marshall® amp, made back in 1962, was the JTM45. It was an instant hit and launched a whole new generation of groundbreaking guitar players and sounds. Since then, connoisseurs of tone have sought out rare original JTM45s from the ’60s. (from the Marshall website)
19. Yup it's a Marshall - looks like an early JTM45 - need care here, they did a re-issue. If it's original, it's worth loads of pennies.............
20. I wasn't looking for sympathy - I bought it, I'm a big boy and I dealt with it how I thought best - bearing in mind that I wasn't going to demand a refund, or return the thing to the tender care of whoever had serviced it before the sale & take the chance of 'damage in transit'. I have no issues with anyone who runs a business and aims for a profit (I do this every day). Caveat Emptor is, I believe, appropriate here - next time (?) I'll drive & look at something 'in the flesh'....my fault.....
21. I didn't bother, just sighed and got the thing (properly) sorted...... when I buy something as clean & serviced, I've got used to 'not being the whole story' and I have better things to do.... it's my blood pressure, after all. I think the t&cs at the bottom of their current advertising (which have had a seismic workover since I dealt with them) probably say it all...............
22. (no, I didn't bother shouting at them, I've been in 'no win' situations before)
23. After an exchange of pms, I'll offer this.......I bought an amp off this firm a year or so ago. It was described as serviced (as are all their stock)....it was somewhat overpriced, but it was a model that I really wanted, so I bit the bullet (gas)......... It arrived, filthy, inside and out...I mean like it had been stored by the side of the.M6 for a few years I put it straight to my tech (details available, pm me), who did recap work, commented that the output valves looked 'recent', and cleaned the thing properly before a pat test. So I paid about 50% more for a serviced amp, which was filthy and had not been properly 'benched' and then had to be professionally sorted........... This is not a rant...merely a statement of fact. (no, I didn't bother shouting at them, I've been in 'no win' situations before)
24. I think the 'problem' seems to lie in the 'serviced' part of their advertising (on every ad) - customers seem to hope that the object has actually been on a bench - lately..........from the Les Paul forum it would look unlikely..........if I buy off fleabay I tend to expect the object to be somewhat less than described - I also don't expect to pay top dollar for anything else......... http://www.vintageamps.com/plexiboard/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=112283 might shed a little more light.......?
25. What it says really, you make your own call........... http://www.lespaulforum.com/forum/showthread.php?202917-Do-not-buy-gear-from-The-Music-Locker-in-the-UK
