  1. Yup..me, that looks very nice indeed...I wonder if Andertons have a fretted on in that colour.
  2. Well hello there...what took you so long to find us??? Welcome aboard, post long and often
  3. Ok thanks, I'll send pics to my guitarist and see if he is interested, watch this space!
  4. The one with 2 ports in the front, like this? or the non ported one , like this Cheers
  5. What are the specs for the combo Mick? My guitarist has got a side project going as a bassist and needs a gigable combo. Cheers Oopsy
  6. Not specifically these lyrics, but a heck of a lot of YES lyrics set me to thinking deep thoughts back in the 70's, in total contradiction to the punk 'keep it real' ethic which I scorned at the time. OFC in hindsight I can see the merits for each camp, but at the time YES music was really pressing my buttons!!
  7. Nice Climax Blues band link here....Guy I work with married Pate Haycocks sister back in the 70's, still together now, and their son got into Blues guitar and was gifted a lovely Strat by Pete a few years back to encourage him to play, must be worth a fortune now! Last gig of the year for us, and given how cold it got ( started snowing on way home) the gig was hot and sweaty all night, the party people were def out in force and we had a blast!
  8. That's a good point, one time we thought we had a great name until we found some band that were REALLY big in the 90's had the same name. when we set up our website we had a load of enquiries from old fans thinking band had reformed...they were SO disappointed!!!
  9. Spherical Dixon.........you're welcome
  10. This is fooking gorgeous I shall look into it further!!
  11. Nice to see Moonmadness get a mention! Means I still have 3 Albums from my life, that even now get regular Airplay Tubular Bells...natch Fields of the Nephilim....The Nephilim, and... Curved Air, Air Cut, can't find whole album on Youtube, so here is a taster. Its the rockiest album they ever did, mainly because Darryl Way had bailed by this point, and its a Cracker, thanks to Eddie Jobson and Kirby Gregory's input, probably my favouritsist album...evah!!!
  12. Definitely organisation, think its a bass players lot to keep the band on an even keel, I always send out MP3's of new songs, just because 1 lead guitarist always goes to 'what Clapton does', on You Tube regardless of what arrangement we have agreed to *sigh* Set lists too, no one else seems to have any idea how to structure a set to get the punters happy...tnx to all on here for that..I learned a lot!! I must like herding cats too, cos it always seems to be me chasing for new songs updates, next rehearsal, next gig, etc. Plus the last minute txts tio make no one has forgotten anything... the list is endless!
  13. hahhaa I sense a thread de-rail!!
  14. Well from the pic in my post, behind the stage is a small area where the drummer set his kit up, his personal bit of carpet has marks on it so he can position his stuff very quickly, we had 15 mins between performers to tear down and set up, and luckily for us, the guy on just before us was a solo performer, so we set up at same time as him, my Zoom B3 was DI'd into the desk and the guitarist was miked into desk too. It went very smoothly and we just about had enough time to squeeze an extra song in too!!
  15. beat me to it mush! ooh..oooh call it mush!!
  16. Beautiful job, and I LOVE that green finish, play it lots and wait for the comments from the crowd!!!
  17. Our current drummer did Tom Sawyer in another band, and singist/KB said...'I know that' and knocked off the solo riff, so me and the guitarist ran off and practiced like buggery, met up next rehearsal feeling pleased with ourselves until we can to that middle bit...we all played it, but slightly different ( it's supposed to be in unison)..methinks its gonna be a while before we gig THAT one! My poor fingers just cant track quick enough at the moment!
  18. We were at an all day event on Saturday, warming up the good people of Stony Stratford waiting for the Xmas lights to be turned on, 1st band on the bass player was also playing BF cabs through an Orange Terror, sounded great. Dunno if he is on here on not though! Also had proper sound man for the event, so that made things easier, we were on quite early so not many people around but what a great atmosphere, best part was local radio station were on hand so we had 2 songs on the radio and an interview after our set in the pub next to stage, so lively banter and beer in hand, missus was listening at home chuckling to herself apparently!!
  19. YES, without a doubt, took me to wonderful far away places while I sat on my bed dreaming as a teenager, the density and complexity of the music always gave up something new, and baffled me as to how they could all play together like that. I can't say Chris Squire inspired me to play bass, that was probably Geezer Butler, but it is YES that appeals to my inner self!
