3. One day I would like to see a pic of Jack actually Happy .......or at least grimacing in a smiley type way
4. It looks a bit pink in your pics..is that the case?
5.
There's a school near me with a girl called A-ha, which leaves mostly people doing their best Partridge impersonation or if they are slightly more original singing Take On Me. It's pronounced A-dash-a.
Some people must really hate their kids....That is ridiculous!!!!
6.
To me? Sorry, I haven't seen anything - unless you're also doubling as another Basschat member who I did get a PM from last night?!
No I sent a PM to Phil.c60 re his spare Yamaha PA, sorry for the confusion.
7. I love my DR neon's, in white they complement that bass perfectly...What a beautiful build!! Kudo to you Andy, and to The Greek for thinking this up!!!
8.
That's just taken the lead for me
Agreed.... 'Dali's Daydream' FTW!!!
9. Nice find, I shall have a peruse after work!
10. Welcome aboard Tomsk, I hope you find everything you might want here I'm impressed you want to jump straight in with a 5 string, Ibenez certainly have slim necks so maybe a 4 string would be even better for your small hands?
11. Saw Cheap Trick supported by Stone Broken at Kentish Town Forum a couple of weeks back. Sound quality for Stone Broken was spot on, everything clear and well defined and levels were nigh on perfect. Bodes well for Cheap Trick thinks I......... Wrong!!!!! So loud it was painful, even away from the PA, mushy and muffled, couldn't hear a guitar solo through the racket, spoiled the evening for me. Is it an age thing maybe? louder not always better IMHO
12.
Yes, some of the references are obvious (it sounds the offspring of WYWH, Animals and The Final Cut) and he needs to cheer up a bit, but... I really like it. What's your thoughts..?
Yup he def ripping himself off there, a bit too derivative for me I'm afraid.
13.
I'd suggest jamming some stuff to get them improvising. Set a groove going and see what comes out. Classical music is very rigid and most other types are the complete opposite. It will take time to adapt.
This, plus, all the celtic folk type music I see played in pubs is pretty improvised on the spot anyway.....which to me is much better than rigid 'doing it by the numbers'
14. As mentioned above, can you give us the weight please?
15. I didn't start until I was 42, totally self taught, no other musical experience. was playing in a band after about 4 months, it can be done, don't think about it, just DO IT!!!! 15 years later I'm still loving it, and still gigging fairly regular, its the best buzz I can get fully clothed.
16. That's just too cool! the closest I can get is band being booked support for 'From The Jam' at a festival, then having the thing cancelled at the 11th hour
17. Inevitable? I'd say yes, given as we all get older, the chances of a fluffed line increase, and we all put it down to 'its Jazz maan'
18. Worked with some South African guys a few years back, Innocent Zulu was one, and Funny Zumboga, whose accent was so thick you couldn't understand a word he said, even if you tried lip reading him!
19.
I wish they'd sort the air con out in the Forum though...
Agreed, one of my mates went outside for a cooldown during Cheap Trick and saw paramedics treating 4 people! Free water being passed around too.
20.
Cheap Trick...TONIGHT at O2 Kentish town..can't wait!

Ditto
I waved....I didn't see you wave back! Stone broken were pretty good too eh?
21. Cheap Trick...TONIGHT at O2 Kentish town..can't wait!
