Definitely loving that combo, and a brass nut to finish off..........hmm maybe the frets should have gold coloured ....*hides*

Yes yes yes.. Gold 'n' Brown is born!!
The only thing I may have to rethink is the hardware colour. I've gone for black, but I think it needs something to lift and contrast. Probably chrome, but...would gold be too bling?
Gold 'n' Brown? ya know that might just work

Yup, I'm confused, as my Reidmar 250 produces 250 watts at 4 ohm..and yes it IS feckin loud, I got it as backup to my Eden WT400, which it blew into the weeds! Looking at the specs it seems to me they have just re badged mine as a 500.....poor show!

I have a4x10 XST which sounds the Mutz Nutz, sadly it weighs as much as the vets that removed aforesaid nutz! I won't sell it, but I rarely use it now. I also have a 400w Eden head which also weighs as much as a small outbuilding, ditto selling and using

I love a happy ending me! -
Yes - that works . Wonderful! I got to have a high speed taxi run in the tail gunner seat of a Lancaster a couple of years ago. Up there with the best experiences ever! I've got a YouTube clip somewhere - I'll post it if I can find it.
Maybe we should start a separate thread..this feels like a hijack!!

Yup, well spotted, its on a Dolley so you can run it up and test it without it being mounted in a plane, I was lucky enough to fire it up and give it some wellie as part of a birthday treat visit to Sywell Aerodrome last year...a great day out and I got to sit in a working Mark VIII Spitfire and chat with the pilot, a red arrow display chappie. I have some video of same if I can work out how to post it!

Ye gods, it didn't take you long did it! .......luckily for us! Can't wait to see where this goes
Rock solid and muscular? Lithe and propulsive? Relaxed and infectious? Dark and powerful? Deep and throbbing? Spacious and gnomic? Driving and relentless? Quick and quizzical? Warm and expressive? Depends which bass player you're talking about...
Gnomic? GNOMIC?? What the spong does that even mean?? I mean..a gnome playing bass, does he run up and the the fretboard or what?
One of the 'bits and pieces' still to do
Aha! And there was me thinking you had somehow found a way to magnetically affix it to a bass player! -

That looks absolutely awesome, beautiful work Andy.....Did I miss something re strap buttons though, cos I don't see any. -
We usually start with a bit of Noodling in D, which sounds like us sorting out tuning, singist then starts intoning Roy Batty's soliloquy from Blade Runner over the top, changing the last line from 'die' to 'rock' ending with a snare crack and straight into She Sells Sanctuary at full wellie https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tears_in_rain_monologue We must have done it hundreds of times and it still give me goosebumps
-
Very welcome, something I discovered accidentally mid gig when I stepped back, went 1 bank down into a ferocious distortion patch which had the singer nearly wetting hisself in fright, fair made me jump too and took a few moments to figure out what the hell was going on lol!

Good luck there fella!....I hope there will be video! -
,but toggling between banks is too slow.
Press buttons 1+2 together to go down one bank, or 2+3 to go up a bank...simples!

Smooth Hound Innovations Digital Wireless Guitar System
Oopsdabassist replied to Dood's topic in Accessories and Misc
Mine is mainly plugged into a P and has been since I bought it a year or so ago, no issues to report as yet, if it bothers you, get the associated adapter and a short patch lead and clip it to your strap. I do that when using my Yamahas. -
Smooth Hound Innovations Digital Wireless Guitar System
I like to pluck just below the pickup, towards the bridge (although it varies a bit, often I pluck right over it too). The thing is I'm used to using a pickup as a reference/resting place (from using a Stingray) so I tend to put tiny thumbrests below the Precision pickup. Like this:
Great little thumb rests those are, mine sits a little further forward though That one is aluminium though, I wonder if we could persuade our fellow basschatter to knock up some more?
