1.
I had the white version they do, i think its a few £ dearer. Very impressed with the quality.
Yup and I have it now, so impressed with it, I bought meself one like the OP as well, Top gear from Thomann!!
2.
Just re weighed,my mistake, actually looks like 10lb which is 41/2 kgs
Phew thought I was going to have to take it off your hands there for a second..I'd get deadded this close to Xmas!!!!
3. 7lbs????? I sold my identical TRB5p on because it weighed in at over 10 lbs, that's a helluva difference!
4. Well that was very calming, I could put that on the loop while I look at the BBC new website, nice one fella
5.
Endominiada of the Nephilim by The Fields of the Nephilim Killer album, awesome first track...
Damn fine choice and spot on with the album too!
6. Just a Zoom B3 for me, never really tried individual pedals so I probably don't know what I'm missing out on, but the B3 does what I need more than adequately. Actually I only have about 3 settings I use on a regular basis, my attempts at genuine tone for songs like Paranoid or Sharp Dressed Man usually results in a chorus of catcalls from the rest of the band..........b4st4rds.
7. To be fair, even at £239, that's a good reduction on the RRP
8. Oooh, I see I have been remiss in my explorations... I must delve further......
9.
So after the initial hype, did anyone here buy the Marshall phone?
Err guilty as charge yer honor, Personally I love it, stereo speakers on the front are loud enough to be useful, on my desk at work when I'm alone, for instance. As a phone it works just fine, being Android the interface is at least recognisable, if a tad different to my previous, the scroll wheel is just too good! Audio interface I'm still playing with as I ended up using my old one ported over from other phone. There are probably other gadgety bits I have missed too, but all in good time. Not found a way to plug my bass into it yet though Finally its looks way cooler than my old Samsung!!!
10. Nice to know it's not just me then, a mate of mine linked it on FB and I just went WOW! After his last album which was a bit meh, this is all I like in Bowie, off the wall, weird arrangements, still a hook to catch us all, and yet another WTF?? video. God bless 'im I say!!
11. I was a mere gnats cock away from mentioning his name.........
12. Blackstar....thoughts? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kszLwBaC4Sw
13. Blimey that was fast, that bass is working its way round the UK! Look after her Tim, she's a beaut!
14. I have an Epi one I cant get on with if you're interested, cherry red too!
15. Hi Nik re your questions above, it weighs in at just over 10.4 lbs if I recall right, that's the only reason I moved it on as it was giving my shoulder gyp! I pushed the action high as I like to dig in, and the elixirs are the ones Pete had on it just before he sold it to me, he put new strings on to sell it but I hated the 'new string zing' so he kindly sent me the old strings..wotta guy!
16. The Enid at the Stables in MK, 1st night touring their new opus 'Dust' Singer has definite 'Freddy Mercury' leanings which has altered the whole outlook of The Enid's symphonic rock catalogue. Definitely worth a look if you fancy something a bit different. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YmJi1cwKU2Y
17. yup Tim's a good egg, very helpful, and also a member here
18. There can be only one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WDkdZ6QvXY
19. Done it a couple of times, as above really, got lucky as most other guys were either solo flyers or complete bands, did step up with one guy who wanted to do an Eagles song solo, me and our singist dived in with harmonies as he was really struggling......still not sure if we helped or hindered
20. Given its repetitive nature..its a cracking song, Warren Zevon, sadly missed.
21. Yup We've seen those guys too, very, very good. Also a shout out for Limehouse Lizzy, excellent Thin Lizzy tribute. For my sins I also saw Oasish, who nailed the originals live act to a T, ie they were boring sh*te!
22.
Gilmour gave him the sunburst stack-knob. Betsy used to belong to John Entwistle and now wears EMGs.
Bugger oi sideways. I never knew that.
