Ive got an old Squier PJ I steampunked up a bit ages ago, its got a more battered brass looking bridge and string tree on it now too

This is exactly how I started playing bass. At age 43 I worked out it was the bass lines I had been singing along to since I was about 12, not the guitar solos!!

the sub or the scales? Sub was from PMT Northampton about 3 years ago The scales were off amazon as i recall, very handy for weighing up my basses! re the PU being hot, there was a thread ages ago addressing this, I ended up soldering in a small resistor to calm it down a bit as in its standard format the output sound was horrible, it so very nearly went back to PMT.

This is mine, its got a chunky leather strap on it which may have added a tiny bit. lbs or kilos, I have both lol.

When I were a lad, I could never get to see enough live bands so live albums were pure heaven for me, so:- Slade - Slade Alive Yes - Yessongs Curved Air Live Genesis - Seconds Out Jethro Tull - Bursting Out These 5 pretty much defined my youth, and I still listen to all of then regularly today, I love the energy they put out over relevant studio albums.

Yup I get some great sonic ideas at home noodling, but as soon as I try em in a band setting it all goes to pot. I've been trying for ages to get a good synth sound for the intro to 'Dakota' but nothing seems to work To be fair I only have a Zoom B3 so maybe I was aiming a little too high!

I'm the same, haven't found my space in a band with any kind of heavy distortion. C'est la vie!

Yup, arms are very adjustable and I do play while sitting in it, but I end up kinda perched on the edge of the seat

I've had a Secretlabs Titan chair for about a year now, and you can dig about 'plastic' leather all you like, I have not once 'sat in a pool of sweat', and believe me I have spent some considerable time in the chair due to Covid crap. yes they ain't cheap but they ARE worth every penny, the only reason I didn't post earlier was because the OP wanted a chair without arms.
