6. Penn Street beer festival, last band in the Hit and Miss pub garden before the footy final, so 1st set was great, but people thinning out as time went on. Still, first time outdoors with these guys, and our PA just about held up I think, all in all great time and weather was spot on, hopefully some pics floating around later.
7. Sounds about right, I have a mex with a lil metal badge on back of headstock, plus diamond jubilee neck plate
8. Hey, we are on the Community stage at 15.00 same day, we'll try not to upstage you lol!
9. Nice, linked it on FB...spread the word!
10. Phil nailed it there I reckon, and PMT in Bristol have one of those TC BG250-115 in stock, for not that much more than the Roland you were thinking of. http://www.pmtonline.co.uk/catalogsearch/result/?q=TC+Electronic+BG250-115 Its the way to go I tells ya! Oh and Welcome to Basschat BTW
11. Just picked this up, good luck fella, almost tempted to pop in to the Smoke tonight for a listen, although as I am currently dismantling a kitchen..this may not happen... Have a blast anyway, and ofc we MUST have pics!!!!
12. I gave my nephew (guitar player, was 15 at the time) my Laney combo bass amp, as his bass playing mate couldn't afford a proper bass amp (was playing through a guitar practice amp) His band doing quite well in local circuit so he tells me........ cue warm fuzzy feeling
13.
The first grainy photo of Cherry White onstage at Togfest 2014 (Bradwell Abbey, Milton Keynes), 28th June 2014 I suspect more may follow in due course!
I was at Togfest...never realised you were playing...bummer!
14.
2 hours 45 into a 3 hour set and I'm playing beatles songs I don't know.
Hahahaaa...great bassface..WTF am I playing????
15. CD received yesterday, had it on all day today, very impressed, worthy of the prog handle, well done guys! I see you did the artwork too, truly a man of many talents!
16. Bedford eh? damn that's a bit to close for comfort...........*must resist*...
17. Utterly brilliant, ok so 3 bids on fleabay already...own up, who was it?
18. I sing a bit of BV, but some things totally screw me up, like the whoa whoas just before the 2nd chorus in Vertigo, bass line goes to pot if I even attempt that! Other things like doubling up on Foos chorus's, no problemo, regardless of what the lyric might be. Trying to nail harmonies rather than just singing is a problem too, doesn't help that I sing as flat as 2 day old champagne!
19. I play slides when we do Bluest Blue, sounds great, feels fine...man up Chris lol Mine is starting to flake a little bit on the E where I use the pick, but I'm mainly a fingerstylee so nothing too dramatic.
20. I've had a set of greens on my black Yamaha for nigh on three years now, love em! Yeah they feel bit rough.......but I'm a MAN, I can take it! I don't like zingy strings anyway so dead sounding is exactly what I want And yay they DO look awesome under UV!!!!!!
21. Woohooo you have SEEN THE DARK! No going back now Welcome aboard. Rule No 1. Don't tell your guitar playing brethren what fun we're having!
22. Bought my Sennheiser E845 new from a proper shop about 10 years ago, I still prefer it to an SM58. Co-incidentally, our drummer seems quite chuffed with his Shure he got off Ebay.....seems very light to me........drummers eh?
23. Yup, one of mine did something very similar, Marshall head now huge paperweight!
