Saw Oasish round here a while back, as a tribute band they were spot on, crap, undefined wall of noise and a lead singer with no personality whatsoever, had to tip my hat to their efforts!
In response to original question, simple answer is, vocal only PA, no monitors= no choice.
I played at a jam night a week or so back, with full PA and 4 or 5 monitors, plugged in and went, it was lovely, just a luxury my bands can't afford.
I tip my hat to the lot of you, excellent work all round made choosing 1 very difficult. I wish I had the patience (and the chops) to come up with something even close to these works!
I hate bright zingy strings, DR's for me.....neons in green, last for effin ages, two and a half years on my Yammy 4 string and still as good as gold, look darn cool too lol!
After growing up listening to Daryl Way I managed to get all 3 right, dunno what that says about me, or Daryl's choice of plastic violin to be honest...

Jeepers that was incredible! Never heard of them up til now, must go away and find stuff!
Sold my Peavey Cirrus as the neck was WAY too slim for me, replaced with a Yam TRB which I find much wider and easier to use. I wouldn't say the Yamaha is particularly narrow, and that suits me fine

I got them all apart from two from the first round, I think it was Coldplay and McFly or something, so nothing I was really missing out on.

Double ditto, nailed the 2nd round lowest score though and mid table 1st round comfortably through I think! *smug grin*

It's a popular meme amongst those who play a certain massively multiplayer online role-playing game

Its a World Of Warcraft reference to player who was away from his computer while his group leader was explaining tactics for an upcoming boss fight, upon his return, he screamed his name across the internet, charged into the fight totally unprepared and caused everyone to die horribly, luckily someone was recording and the whole episode was flashed round the WWW for posterity.

the guy is a world class hero for being such a plank, and the game makers even put his name to a reward you can earn in the game!
