1. Anyone tell me if my Reidmar would power a compact sufficiently? looking at the BF website they were quoting a min of 250W at 8ohm and the reidmar only puts out 250 at 4 ohm
2. Got it?? I might USE it lol
3. So...back on topic, Lozz are you sorted now mate, if not I have several spares and I could drop one off if ya want.
4. Spellbinding, nice find
5. Just bear in mind the image of a Peavey is a bit different from say the Dean http://www.peavey.co...5874/index.html I'm not knocking it though, believe me, I have a 5 string Cirrus myself!
6. Amazing looking bass, hope ye get it back matey.
7. Schweeeet....
8. Each to their own I guess, I got this on day 1 and still listen to it with a shiver, current favourite is The Wreckers.
9.
"I don't want to live forever - but apparently I am" - Lemmy, Motorhead, Ace of Spades (live version)
There is no finer line anywhere, thread closed move along now!
10. Jaw....meet Floor....!
11. Buzzing sounds like a bad earth/return connection somewhere, check all connections including those to the jack socket.
12. Since I first started playing in 2003, about 80, the majority of which were with my current band, we average 2 a month, which is just comfortable. earlier bands were a bit more hit...or usually miss I have so much fun with current fellows, it makes it all worthwhile!
13. Seriously loving that Spocks Beard track!
14. You're right...it sounds weird. Although please bear in mind I can't see the video at work, so have NO idea what you mean!
15. I like playing with 2 guitarists, they can trade licks and harmonise á la Thin Lizzy, and things just seem more dynamic than when I played in a single guitar band.
16. Beautiful riposte Kevin
17. Interesting read, especially as I just bought myself a set of Jazz 77 flats yesterday, not had a chance to fit em yet, new territory for me though, so quite excited!
18. Played a new place for us in Rickmansworth on Sat, landlord Jim a no nonsense Leeds boy who loves his rock so we blew the roof off for him! Luckily pub is up for a re-furb in 3 weeks!!! Got a repeat booking post refurb and praises from many of the locals, life don't get much better than this oh and its a Greene King pub too, Abbott Ale...mmmmmmmmmmmmm. Just a shame I had to drive home.
19. Just dipping my toes into fretless too, since getting that neck off dave V, gotta say I am enjoying meself hugely at moment. Cant see me gigging it until at least a coupla band rehearsals though!
20. Whatever works I reckon, I combine B and C and it sounds just fine to me!
21. Ok so my question SHOULD have read, what are the best flats for [s]metal[/s] newbie
22. Thanks for the replies, I was just a bit worried the original strings might chew up the fretboard, so I guess my query should have been a bit more specific, are flats kinder to fretless boards? I've never used flatwounds before so have no idea
23. I think this counts as a technical issue, I blagged a cheapo fretless neck from Dave Vader (Cheers Dave its spot on) which I am bunging onto an old Squier P. Its my first foray into fretless and I have NO idea what sort of strings I should be putting on, all comments and tips welcome Cheers folks!
24. I lent Gav my copy of Senna DVD, and got some Jaffa tape back as a result, unexpected and most welcome, nice guy!!
