1. Used a TU-2 for years, perfect, no issues other than guitarist who wanted to borrow it lol. Now use the tuner in my Boss ME20B multi effects unit, just as good, handles my 5 string no worries, and guitarist has blagged my TU2..... DOH!
2. Yay,just off the M25 easier for me to get to too two.......erm...... Did I OD on the 2's there?
3. My Yamaha makes a horrible clicking noise when I dig in on the E string, I tried evrything I can think of, buts its still there and can be heard in the mix too I presume I'm clagging the string so hard its either bouncing off another fret or the pup, but when I get into the choon the last thing I want to do is ease up
4. Whats the form of the contract? I would be interested to see what sort of thing we would be expected to commit to.
5. We really are just a pub covers band, we tend to leave people smiling after a gig, and always get repeat bookings, but we dont really 'have' a following. The email came direct to the band email address, and our guitarist, who runs the website has spoken with the fella and seems impresssed, maybe I am just a cynical old goat, but I am wondering if this is in our best interests.

Agents

We've recently had an email via band website from this lot www.eliteacts.com Now we are just a pub rock covers band who do all our own bookings, and we are reasonably happy with the way things stand. I'm not really sure what an agent can do for us, so I guess my questions are going to be A) has anyone ever heard/used this outfit do we NEED an agent at our level of committment C) what are the pitfalls we need to watch out for if we DO decide to play along. Cheers all Oopsy/Russ
7. Love Slade Alive, possibly the best live LP evah! grew up loving Slade as a rock band, I forgive them the 'glam' tag
8. I have a J..its brilliant, get your P one...DO IT! And John is just the nicest guy, makes good coffee too!
9. Nothing wrong with green on a bass, my Black Jazz has a green sparkly pickguard and my Yam has the green DR neons on it. they both look great !
10. When I first started I had a few lessons but I soon learnt nothing beats practice! learn some scales, play them all over the fretboard....learn the Fretboard! Play along with easy songs, almost anything from U2 is a good start! Good luck, and welcome!
11. Doing Black Night on Friday, counting out the 12 bars of the solo in the middle, turned round to look at drummer to confirm, can see him counting out loud, get to 12 bars LAUNCH into main riff, everyone else carries on, on 13th bar he bangs out a drum roll and the others hit the riff, I felt about 2 inches tall....was video'd as well *sigh*
12. Don't use em, really can't see the point. I love this forum for its exchange of ideas and gear, and I love the banter, If I like or dislike something someone says, I'll say so, not click an anonymus arrow..Bah humbug!
13. Had a set of greens on my black Yammy for about 9 months, love em! using our new LED lights last night seemed to make em flouresce like crazy, will know for sure when I see the pics the Drummers SWMBO took, watch this space
14. Space Oddity, or Day in the Life. For no reason I can fathom, those tunes just fall out of my brain, thankfully I have moved on from that band, so longer an issue.
15. I use Dava picks when I need to, don't get the 'revolving pick' issue with these! http://www.guitarbitz.com/guitar-accessories-c1/plectrums-picks-c16#m34 The green ones go with my strings!
16. Dya know...I do that too, so much so that the drummers GF comments on it a lot, never realise it meself until she mentioned it, oddly though I don't slap, I just do it to twist the bass a bit so I can see what my fingers are doing on the G string. I believe there are pics of me offending!
17. Great stuff! I DO like a bit of volin with me rock.....being a great Curved Air fan wot does it
18. Will keep an eye out for losing nuts, can't say I even noticing any on 1st inspection, the height clamps were gnurled wheels into captive nuts on a clamp.
