1. Certainly have noticed a difference in the last year of so I have been playing with current band, audience numbers in general are dropping, certain pubs we used to play have stopped holding live music nights, just a sign of the times I guess.
2. Once about 3 years ago, open air gig so I may have been digging too deep I guess, E string just at the nut at beginning of Vertigo, managed to finish song and change string before singer had finished announcing a short break while dopey bassist sort hisself out...me holding up my bass ready to go as he was saying it got a cheer from the crowd
3. Ay caramba! that poor nut! You got some work do there there methinks......good luck
4. Thats kinda my neck of the woods..will scout out local cash converters etc.
5. Aww maan, meant to travel down a coupla times recently, never had enough time, Sad to hear you guys are calling it a day.Good luck for the future!
6. Nope you dont have to string through the body.
7. Result! WIll be making a list of serial numbers and pics when I get home...just in case!
8. Eden RS400 head and Eden 410xst cab. Had the head about 5 years now, and upgraded my cab from a Laney 410 earlier this year. Still have the Laney, nothing wrong with it, like the sound, the Eden just gives...more. Can't see me changing anytime soon, might get a class D head as a backup if the gig situation gets intense enough, as long as its small and light I'm not bothered what it is. Overall? yeah I'm happy.
9. Cheesy yes,and ultimately...boring, not my cup o' tea at all, reminded me of 2 guitarists I know trying to outdoor each other on stage at a benefit show, very embarrasing.
10. Tippex pen, dead cheap, easy to find and it flouresces too, use it on my Cirrus 5, works a treat
11. Recent gig we played, acoustics of the room were such that most of the sound got bounced back to the band, during sound check I went to far end of room(wireless) and could hardly hear anything, really weird, we had to play so loud it was painful, just so the landlord could hear at the bar....he kept saying 'turn up' too! Glad I had my earplugs with me!
12. Bought mine from Maplins...not had any cause to complain yet........
13.
Half way through the second set I got cramp in the index finger of my left (fretting) hand. No pain, but the finger completely folded up! I had to quickly work out how to use the middle finger and move my hand more instead! In between the next couple of songs I massaged the finger (!) and flexed it a lot until it started working again. Most odd.
I've had that too..weirdest feeling when your fingers won't do what you ask!
14. The chain was in fact 2 songs joined together, Stevie Nicks had the vocal Part and Lindsay Buckingham had the instrumental part, but on their own, neither warranted inclusion on the album, so they bunged em together and voila! At least thats how I recall the 'Classic Album' series on TV relating it.
15. Nice work dude, mind you I've done a few miles in those old BR buses, think I'll stick with the company car from now on! Oh and keep up with the build updates, its fun to read!!
16. Tnx guys I actually have an old Sennheiser freeport at the moment when I'm quite happy with, I was just wondering about the differences http://www.dv247.com/microphones/sennheiser-freeport-instrument-set-instrument-wireless-system--28311
17. Ok silly question time...the tx is so small, and it plugs straight into the jack socket, whats the belt pouch for? Not being awkward, just confused
18. I ALWAYS feel like that after a gig...great time...but could have been better........its a good thing I guess
19. Aww maaaan its great to hear a bass in the mix from way back then...great clip!
20. Woohoo what a great feeling that is...go at it fella and enjoy!!!
21.
"Lets do Summer of 69"
Arrrgh!! we had several calls last week to do that as an encore, only I knew it, so sadly the email I sent my band this week said exaclty that!! Oh the shame!
22. Nice one, I work overlooking Marshalls, sometimes hear somebody famous wailing away in their lil demo room Voted...good luck!
23. Is it wrapped around the tuning peg the correct way? if wrong way on the peg there will be a greater angle pulling string to one side ie out of the nut. I know cos I haz dun it
