1. We're nearly there. Just in the process of testing it...
2. It might be a lose connection between the power socket and the PCB. The pedals are renowned for this. For a while Akai would do some kind of strengthening repair but now they won't touch them.

That's what Doug said too. He came to terms with being northern though.

Keep it. Risk being a little posh. It's good enough for Doug Wimbish.
In my everlasting quest for the ultimate bandname. I always stay away from the word white. I always feel it could be taken as a supremacy statement, wrongly or otherwise. Did that cross your mind? It's a great word but I could never use it.
White Stripes?
6. Grimsby? Llllllllllllllllllluxury. We can only afford to park the BC caravan in a derilict industrial estate car park, on the outskirts of Barnsley at best.
7. My experience is at odds with my aspirations. Would love for pickups to be more than they actually are. But I've tried so many over the years (expensive and cheap) and there's not a lot of difference. They're a fairly crude way to manage tone and character still comes down to the instrument and how you play it. I'd really like to try a set of Lollar jazz pickups though, all the same.
8. What?! Who organised this? Why wasn't I invited? I'm so alonnnnnnnnnnne...
9. Is it leather from these moroccan goats? Gotta be a joke in there somewhere, buggered if I can think of it right now though.
10. Foal's L2 is a little fuller and mellow in the highs than my XL25 but the differences are not significant enough to make a difference to a live gig. I would agree with the initial posts about the differences between the streamliner and an XL2 but to argue one is better than the other is futile.

This got a chuckle from me: Mark King ‏[s]@[/s]King42Mark Top Bass Tip: Don't miss out the 'R' when Googling Gary Oldman...
12. What does he have, apart from the Fodera AJ, Dingwalls and Rob Allens?

Nice. He's lost a bit of weight it seems too. I grew up seeing the IoW every time I went down to the beach..
14. Anything cheap and early 90's...Washburns, Aria Integra, etc.
15. Freemasons and Alanis Morrisette (who I now think is a genius song writer) Plus Bootyluv because of the great bass synth patches...their songs seem built on bass synth drums and melody.
16. Does anyone own a Super Swede?
17. Joel, don't take this the wrong way but what happened to the forum you had set up for this sort of thing?
18. Not bad. Would look better in flourescent pink with black hardware and a pointy headstock though.
19. Might be that the amp has some kind of preset tonal colouring which involves scooping the mids/upper mids (say a narrow band of frequencies anywhere between 600 and 1200Hz). SWR started it off and called it the "LA sound", then Trace and Eden followed with their own versions. Jazz basses sound great and so do basses which sound brittle. But other basses (especially with aggressive mids or treble) just sucked. Warwick did it too but less in favour of jazz basses and more for their own. Their amps sound great with Stingrays BTW. Try a GB Shuttle instead. Pure as the driven snow and you can stick a mid scoop in if you like.
20. I wouldn't mind getting into ceramics more...its on my list with a load of other creative stuff, mind. Sawdust glazes look amazing. Once saw some white porcelain dishes made with rough edges to the clay still intact and the porcelain was eggshell thin so the light came through. They looked exquisite. Can't remember the ceramicists name though.
21. I can't advise, I'm sorry. Anyone else having issues?
