I'll let you know when it arrives in about 10 days. I prefer narrow spacing like on my alembic, I don't have a bendy thumb on my right hand so it means the higher strings are within reach without pivoting my hand over too much. I listened to this clip of a fretless XL2A yesterday and thought it sounded gorgeous. Loads of sustain and mwah like my Pentabuzz but without the glassy highs. If I can get around on the XL5A coming I might end up looking for another in or to be converted to fretless.

I can't think of anything that will replace my Shuttle 6.0. Its got everything needed for gigging and nothing extra. For stereo with the MIDI bass set up I wouldn't mind another but they seem to have fairly high resale values from what I can see. So I've made do with a Peavey DPC power amp until I make some neo wedge shaped cabs with a slot for a shuttle in each.

The only single cut I've ever seen that looks gorgeous is the Fodera Beez Elite. Every other singlecut I've seen looks awful. I think this style needs width and curves to look attractive, it just doesn't look right when luthiers try to keep the body width small.

They're insecure and lonely. Invite them along to the gig so they can see for themselves you're not doing the dirty. Don't take responsibility for her insecurity or dependency. If she starts picking fights, mention that you think she's picking a fight and ask her how long its going to take before she's open to talking about solutions rather than moaning. If at any point you feel she's not listening to you then state the obvious and walk away. You don't have to be anyone's punching bag.

At least people can understand why I've said nothing on this thread to date. Ken I really wish you'd get off the internet and phone people instead. I think you come across well on the factory vid but your email comms come across as defensive and arrogant. Its up to you how to deal with that but I'd suggest a little empathy would go a long way. Respect comes from backing your customers, not your product. BTW, I don't regret selling all three of my Smith basses, my modded spectors are way better and taught me I don't need loads of lams for a fantastic sounding bass.

I used one of these tri-trucks. Great for moving over uneven ground. Heavy loads were still a hassle on stairs though.
