You have no possible way to know that.
You're trying to bait me again.
isn't that the point of starting a buisness? same as fender, warwick, squier, ibanez, yamaha, alembic, status etc its all about the bottom line.
Certainly is.

Nice tidy profit margin being made on those, I think.

I went to the trouble of loading my entire rig and basses onto a ferry, in the rain, to get across to an near derilict venue on an island near Kingston on Thames. This was in anticipation of breaking in my still boxed Genz Benz Shuttle only to discover the speakon cable I'd paid for hadn't been included. Had to play through a 30w Roland keyboard combo and only JUST managed to hear myself under the vocal monitors.
That was fun to play. A '59 (IIRC) P with flatwounds. Played a bit of James Jamerson on it as it felt appropriate!
Thats one I wish I had spotted and had a go on as well. Kicking myself!

On behalf of the forum, you're very welcome Polly Many thanks to Coasterbass (Nick) who deserves credit for organising the flowers and managing the whipround.

I can't see the clip at work but if thats the one of Gilmour playing a black Jaydee fretless (Tony Franklins?) at the Secret Policeman's Ball (?), you don't know how long and hard I've searched for this clip. I think Gilmour is a fantastic fretless player, he's done a great job of transposing his blues feel. Just goes to show its less about the instrument and more about the musician. (PS: if it turns out the clip isn't of him on fretless I'll be deleting this post when I get home!)
On arrival of my new Shuker, I'll just have that and my 7 string. I have a copy of Jap Fender P's at home.. but they don't get gigged.
Out of curiosity Dan, do you gig the 7 string still?

presumably a compact folded wedge could then be called "The Little Bleeder"? (I'll shut the door behind me on the way out.)

I don't have a back up but I do take 2 basses to a gig. Usually a 5 or 6 plus a Stingray/Cutlass for the disco songs. I try to plan enough so that I don't need a back up (spare strings, batteries etc.) but I could play both sets on one bass with minor adjustments in fingering.
-
you did a great job of building these, I was impressed with how articulate the mid range was.
The photobucket link asks for a password.
Does it? Bugger. I'll have a look and see if I can sort the problem out. It did say the album was public. EDIT: OK, it should work now.

OK, all the rest can be found here: http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y222/craz...ash%2027-09-08/ BTW a bass stand was left behind. Silverfoxnik has it so if the owner could contact him we will arrange some way of getting it to you.
