Reference to Rock n Roll history is interesting. Each of us might have a different take on that. Significance for my generation is largely being overlooked (still) by our baby boomer parents through sheer numbers and control of the media as much as anything. These days when I hear a reference to the songs that defined my childhood, a small part of me cheers. Beach Boys, Beatles etc. are all very well but they're not really a part of my upbringing even though I respect their status as classic bands. Disco rules, it defined my childhood and still defines my tastes.

What I like so much about it that its a very accessible style but there are still nuances to seek out once the basics are understood.

I have something like this already set up on my Spector(s) but have opted for parallel rather than series because I then have the option of single coil settings without massive jumps of volume due to changes in voltage. Modest jumps (due to impedance changes) can be soaked up by a buffered onboard pre like the East or (by request) Noll circuits.

[/i]I used to hear cats as well when practicing - part of it was anxiety that I'd shut one in a wardrobe or room somewhere.
